Used pillowcases and bedsheets being provided and bed not being cleaned, stay at your own risk.
I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, my family and I were shown a dirty room that had not yet been cleaned. Despite this, the hotel owners allowed us to drop our luggage off (which was nice of them) and said the room would be cleaned later (note: we arrived before the check-in). When we returned later that day, the blanket and bed looked to be made up, but it had not been cleaned and the sheets had not been changed. I had put a piece of paper earlier that morning under the bed sheet (which would fall out, when changed), but the piece of paper was still there later in that afternoon (after the alleged cleaning).
When I asked the hotel owners whether the bed could still be changed, they became extremely verbally aggressive and demanded that we leave the hotel immediately. They ‘explained’ that bed sheets and pillow cases would only be replaced when it looked dirty, and that was not the case yet, even though the people before us used it (which you could smell).
It was clear that the owners did not take cleanliness seriously and we were extremely disappointed with the entire experience.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and pleasant stay.
However, I would recommend the hotel if you enjoy sleeping in other strangers disgusting...
Read moreWe booked a room and informed the hotel of our checkin time beforehand (early morning), they agreed for an early checkin. But upon arriving at the hotel , it was closed, we rang the bell a few times and there was no response. So we hit the shutter a couple of times. The lady who opened the door (also the owner) was so rude. She kept yelling at us that we were making noise (while herself shouting the entire time) After we spent a few minutes in the freezing cold at 6am in the morning..we asked her for our room..she told me the checkin time was 2pm. I showed her the email where I requested for an early checkin and she had agreed. She said that she did not have the room, admitted her fault and asked us to leave or upgrade our room. The attitude and the screaming was off putting. We got a superior room for 3 hours and she charged us full price! Later after checkout, she tried to be sweet as if nothing had happened earlier, because we rented our bike from her and also probably she wanted a good review. I would stay away from this hotel in the future. Terrible owners and...
Read morePositives: ||Friendly owners, always happy to help, and good English. Close to train, you can literally see it from the train station. They opened up at 4am for us to check in as that was when our train arrived (charged an extra 5USD for this). Good aircon. Great restaurant down the road called Chookies. Ok place if you just want to sleep between train rides. ||||Negatives: ||Not a hotel, more a bed and breakfast. Very noisy family, kids were always screaming and being yelled at. Hard to relax in the evenings. No elevator so had to lug our bags up 6 flights of stairs. Arrived to a find a suppository in the fridge (drug unknown). Stained duvet, no top sheet, one towel for two people and a shower in the middle of the bathroom so you can literally poop and shower at the same time. Breakfast was literally a bread roll, stick of butter and tea with curdling milk- so we went to Chookies each day. Literally nothing to do in this town. Everything is out of town eg Tam Coc and the National Park, so if I could go back and change my itinerary I would stay in Hanoi and book a tour out...
