Dong Minh Restaurant — Restaurant in Ninh Bình

DO NOT rent motorcycles from this place, it is a scam! The man who runs the operation aggressively approached us as soon as we walked out of the station and promised that his bikes were in good shape. All of his bikes are really beat up and he insisted that we put gas on them. I quickly road tested one of these beat up bikes and it drove just ok. The bike was almost empty in gas so we drove to the nearest gas station and put a full tank.

When we started driving away in faster highway speed the bike made a loud noise and the whole thing just wobbled and shook from under us, the wheels felt like they were going to come off and the bike wanted to drive itself out of control!

That’s when we drove it back, first asked for a replacement and of course there was nothing else because all of his bikes as in worse condition. We told him that we had put a full tank of gas. He transferred the gas to another one of his bad bikes that we couldn’t take. So we decided to not rent from him at all for our safety and asked for the rental money back and a refund of the gas (at least partial).

He refunded the rental money but NOTHING from the refund money!

If the food is any indication also do NOT bother with it too.

Family owned business, we got to know about it because they drove us to the hotel from the train station on our first day. I cannot recommend them enough! They are absolutely honest with prices, quick and available. We felt very safe being driven by them. We wanted to go to Cuc Phuong National Park and they made it happen, even if quite far away. We also had dinner here and food is very good, cooked on order. They also let us wait at the restaurant while waiting for the train... Thanks so much for making our stay in Ninh...

I rent a bike from Ms Trang here on December 2022 for vnd 100k per day. You must try the bike first!! Don't forget the helmet. She didn't keep my passport for that purpose. She was so lovely and nice. Just ask her and she will try to help you. I also booked a transportation from her for my journey back to Hanoi.
