Overall I liked this place- but it wasn’t perfect. It’s a great price and the staff are generally kind and helpful. It’s good for long term stay too- I felt safe and comfortable here for the most part. But, they gave me a dirty bedsheet- I asked the staff to please provide me a new one, they helped change out the sheet twice for me, both of which were again stained. Then, the staff removed the duvet from the comforter and I was so grossed out by how many stains there were and how filthy that comforter was. Please, Momali, don’t give your guests dirty used things and then package it in a nice way by putting a duvet over it. Then, the AC started leaking so they had to change the room for me. In my new room, the AC was also leaking. One of the staff members, a young man, was very nice but he did not speak English and this caused a lot of issues for me as there was a booking problem in the middle of the night and he gave me the wrong information and later blamed me for it. I was begging him to let me speak with someone that spoke English and he kept saying no, then finally he called someone and wouldn’t even allow him to speak with me for a while which was really frustrating because I was exhausted and just trying to figure this out and sleep. Since they have so many international guests I feel that they need to easily have someone reachable that speaks English to...
Read moreWe stayed at Momali Hotel for a short visit to Ninh Binh and found it to be great value for money. The hotel is modern, stylishly decorated, and well located — just a short drive from the river and nearby attractions.
The room itself was clean, well-lit, and had tasteful interior touches such as backlit ceilings, elegant furnishings, and a spacious, modern bathroom. We appreciated the attention to design throughout the space.
That said, our experience did have a few drawbacks. Our room was located close to the lift, and noise from other guests often started as early as 5:30–6:00 AM. Despite staff assuring us it was a one-off, it happened again, with children running up and down the halls late at night and in the early morning. While we understand this isn’t fully in the hotel’s control, we wish we’d pushed harder to move rooms.
We also returned one evening to find the air conditioner set to 28°C by housekeeping, which made the room quite uncomfortable. Although we raised this with reception, no action was taken during our stay (they have since followed up and apologised, which we appreciated).
Breakfast was minimal, but overall, the hotel has a lot of potential with just a few service...
Read moreThis hotel is perfect for an overnight stay in Ninh Binh, esp if you need to catch an overnight train from Ninh Binh. We stayed for one night and the room was clean and had all the basic amenities that one would need. There were too many mosquitoes in the room at night, as is common in the area, and the staff was helpful and provided us with an electric racquet to get rid of them. The room was quite spacious, they also give rooms on hourly basis which is great value for money and especially helpful if you would like to freshen up and take a shower before you catch your train. There is also a great coffee shop nearby but not many options to eat. You can opt for a Grab which costs 100K VND and takes you to the Tam Coc lake area with plenty of options to eat and drink. It is only a 10 min drive away. The language was a bit of an issue with the staff as they did not understand English well but the Translate app really helped us. Overall a great experience and excellent when it comes to...
