SCAM WARNING!!! My husband and I booked this hotel from booking.com in the beginning of October 2024 and were to arrive at the hotel January 31. We were traveling all of Vietnam and this was our last stop. We booked flights for this island once we confirmed our reservation. On January 22 I received a message from the hotel stating that THEIR bank did not recognize my credit card and that my booking was going to be cancelled. I immediately reached out to them several times and days with no response. I finally got through to them which cost me money and they said again their bank did not recognize my credit card (which by the way was never an issue throughout our entire trip or at home). The owner told me that I needed to rebook on the booking.com site and that they still had the room available. I was worried and asked if I could just give them another card over the phone and they said no they couldn't. I went to booking site and the cost of my stay was much higher now than what I booked for. I called them and messaged them several times to see if they would honour the price given to me 3 months prior but they said no sorry we cannot because the price has now gone up because its last minute and a holiday. I couldn't believe it. we purchased flights to this island and nearly every place was booked or at a cost we could not afford. This hotel offered a 15% discount and apologized for the inconvenience (see messages). We ended up thankfully finding another hotel but this hotel and its owner and staff caused us a lot of grief and stress over our vacation. Book somewhere else or take the risk that this will...

Read moreThis family-run beach resort is a little paradise. As a solo traveler, I often feel overlooked in favor of couples and families, but the warm and attentive hospitality of the family running this resort made me feel genuinely welcome and cared for.|Being a light sleeper, I appreciated how they worked with me to find the quietest room, which was incredibly heartwarming. I even upgraded to a bungalow by the sea, where I could sleep with the soothing sound of the waves.||The breakfast was outstanding, offering a variety of Western and Asian dishes. Many of the ingredients were organic and homemade, including fruits from their own garden and jams crafted from their harvest. My favorite was the banana pancake with homemade jam and a refreshing mango juice!||There were always plenty of free lounge chairs around the pool and in the garden, perfect for relaxing with a book. The private beach, though very small, boasts stunning views, and the swimming pool was just the right temperature—not too cold, making it very inviting.||While the resort is only a 15-minute walk to the village's main street with small shops and restaurants, the food at their own restaurant was delicious, so I rarely felt the need to venture out.||This resort provided the perfect blend of tranquility, excellent food, and heartfelt hospitality, making it a truly special place to stay.||During my 4-night stay, my room was not cleaned at all. Perhaps guests need to request cleaning, which I didn’t do. However, it would have been nice if some cleaning had been done...
