Our experience at MiNhon was quite regrettable and fell short of our expectations. We had booked three rooms, two of which were conveniently located on the same side as the reception and pool. These rooms were beautifully styled and well-maintained. However, the third room, situated on the opposite side, was poorly put together. It lacked a proper divider between the shower and toilet, and the TV was non-functional. The air conditioning unit was excessively noisy at night, making it difficult to sleep. Moreover, the voices of staff members in the adjacent back room were clearly audible in the morning, making it challenging to sleep in.
To be fair, the resort did accommodate a few changes we requested regarding our booking. We specifically asked for an additional bed for a child in one of the rooms. However, they provided a very thin mattress on the floor and charged us a relatively high fee of 200k (8-9 euro) per night for it. Unfortunately, the receptionist displayed an unhelpful attitude while dealing with us.
Furthermore, we had requested to book a tour to Bau Trang desert, which was priced at 600k (26 euro). However, the resort failed to inform us that an additional 600k fee per two people was required to actually visit the desert. The tour itself turned out to be underwhelming, as we were taken to five so-called "scenic" spots in Mui Ne that were anything but scenic and seemed random in nature.
The food served at the resort was average at best and did not justify the prices charged. A particular disappointment was the "nutella crepe" I ordered, which had an unusual taste and smelled strongly of bacon. It was quite perplexing how such a mistake could have occurred.
Regarding the pool, since all the rooms faced it, we were subjected to the constant noise of children screaming throughout the day, especially considering our visit during the summer season.
Overall, our experience at MiNhon was underwhelming and, in some aspects, disappointing. We do not plan to return...
Read moreMinhon Hotel is a gem amongst gems. There are 3 hotels all close to each other run by the same people under the same name MINHON - I’ve been solo travelling in Vietnam for 3 weeks and this is the best homestay I’ve stayed at. It is simply superb in every way. Beautifully presented with abundance of plants and lovely decor, thoughtful chill out spaces and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Lovely relaxed vibes and lots of interesting visitors. One of the restaurants / homestays is right next to the ocean and listening to the waves crashing a few meters away from my table was stunning. The staff are absolutely tremendous - stop at nothing to help and English is spoken. Tien spent ages helping me sort out busses and was so patient and kind. My room was fabulous - so spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and furnished, huge private balcony with longer and hammock, table, cumfy chairs - just wonderful. The enormous bed was the most comfortable I’ve slept on in Vietnam. The food here is extremely good - try their coconut smoothy - to die for! And everything including the room extremely good value for money. Literally the best. If you’re travelling in Vietnam...
Read moreHighly recommended. We booked for a week and after a bit of confusion at check in we were upgraded to a lovely apartment. The hotel is very quaint and pretty, lovely pool and gardens, lots of terraces to lounge on. Each room has a little garden area with loungers and the planting around gives privacy. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Daily housekeeping. The breakfast is very good with a good choice of freshly made food and drink options. Meals are served too and they are good and reasonably priced. The staff are delightful. So friendly and helpful. You can walk to the beach in one minute and three minutes easy walk to several cafes, restaurants and shops. MiNhon also has a lovely beach side bar called Yoyo where you can chill out sipping cocktails and eating lovely food. We were very lucky to be upgraded to the family apartment and if it is available I recommend you book it. It's lovely, big clean and well equipped. Best bit is the huge terrace with hammocks etc and fabulous views of the fishing boats and the sunset. Blissful. Sebastian and his team go out of their way to ensure you have a lovely time. Book it. You...
