This little restaurant lives and dies by the bowl. That’s it. No fries, no steak, no secret burger menu. Just bowls full of fruit and “I swear I’m healthy” toppings. If you don’t speak Vietnamese, ordering is basically interpretive dance with fruit names, but somehow it works.
The bowl? A tropical riot. Mango, dragon fruit, papaya or whatever other fruit felt like joining the party, sprinkled with oats, chia seeds, and shredded coconut. It’s the kind of mix that looks like a health blogger’s Instagram feed and tastes like you might actually survive past 80. Fresh, filling, and smugly nutritious.
The setting helps too. Not some sad shack with three wobbly chairs, but an actual cozy place with enough seating for you and your friends. And there’s a tiny library tucked in the corner, because clearly the only thing better than chewing on chia seeds is reading a forgotten paperback about finding yourself.

I didn’t get the lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise with my “toastie”, not sure why as I only asked for no ketchup, also with very little bacon, just a sprinkle really, but after asking for actual Vietnamese coffee instead of basically an Americano with condensed milk but not getting it, I didn’t bother inquiring after the missing salad. What we had was ok but I really could have been great with just a little more attention to...
Read moreI saw a lot of reviews saying May Bowls have the best smoothie bowls ever - they were correct. I love smoothie bowls, and this is the best smoothie bowl I have ever had.
The consistency of the smoothie, the freshness and amount of topping is phenomenal. Everything is so reasonably priced. The portion size is great and really filling. It’s a 11/10.
All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming too. I came once and had to return every day for the rest of my time in Mui Ne. If you are in Mui Ne, I am jealous that you can go get a May Bowls smoothie bowl as I miss having them so much 😭🥭🥥🩷
My favourite was the #6 bowl with extra peanut butter and cashews...
