I recently spent just one night at The Anam Mui Ne for a simple getaway, but the experience left such a deep impression that I felt compelled to write this review. Everything — from the room to the food to the staff — spoke of quiet luxury and genuine Vietnamese hospitality.||Arrival & Welcome||From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptionally friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth, the smiles genuine, and the team immediately made us feel cared for. To our surprise and delight, we were upgraded to a Premium Room. Waiting for us inside was a plate of fresh tropical fruit — such a thoughtful, refreshing touch after traveling.||Premium Room Comfort||The Premium Room was gorgeous: spacious, airy and decorated in an elegant Indochine style with rich wood accents, vintage-style tiles, and soft neutral colours. Our king-size bed was plush and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious with a freestanding tub and rainfall shower, and our private balcony opened onto a tranquil view of the gardens and pool. Every detail felt curated to help us slow down and relax.||Memorable Cooking Class||One highlight of our stay was the hands-on cooking class. Under the patient and warm guidance of the chef, we prepared three classic dishes:||Gỏi cuốn (fresh spring rolls)||Bánh xèo (crispy Vietnamese pancakes)||Cá kho tộ (caramelized fish in clay pot)||It wasn’t just cooking; it was a cultural journey. The chef explained the ingredients, the history behind each dish, and little tips that made the food come alive. Sitting down to enjoy our creations afterward felt so rewarding.||Facilities & Activities||Even in our short stay, we sampled some of The Anam’s facilities. The pool was serene and beautifully maintained, a perfect spot to cool off in the tropical air. In the morning, we joined the complimentary yoga class, which was led with calm, clear instruction and set in a peaceful corner of the resort — a lovely way to start the day.||The grounds themselves are stunning: lush gardens, Indochine-inspired architecture, and a sense of privacy and calm wherever you go.||A Thoughtful, Eco-Friendly Approach||Something that really stood out to me was how environmentally friendly the resort is. You can see their commitment in small but meaningful touches: minimal single-use plastics, refillable glass water bottles, recycling bins, energy-efficient lighting, and landscaping that feels natural rather than over-engineered. Even the cooking class highlighted the use of local, seasonal ingredients. These choices may seem subtle, but together they create a sense of staying somewhere that respects its surroundings — which made the experience even more enjoyable.||Service That Stands Out||What really sets The Anam Mui Ne apart is its people. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive and professional without ever feeling scripted. Small gestures — checking in on our comfort, explaining activities, greeting us by name — created a feeling of true hospitality.||Final Thoughts||Although our getaway was short, it was deeply refreshing. The Anam Mui Ne blends luxury with authentic Vietnamese charm, creating a space where you can both unwind and connect. I left already planning a return visit — next time for longer.||If you’re looking for a resort where the rooms are beautiful, the activities meaningful, the service heartfelt and sustainability is genuinely embraced, I can’t recommend The Anam Mui Ne...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed for a total of 11 nights at The Anam in a Premium Ocean View Room. The resort is a shining example of modern Indochine architecture where no detail has been left out. The fittings, finishes and layout of the rooms, restaurants and grounds are immaculate and well designed and well-considered.
Coming back to the resort daily after exploring the local area was always a welcome reprieve from the grittiness and busy hum of Mui Ne and Pan Thiet.
Our trip was made even more special by the customer service manager Ms Thuy, who personally took care of our needs during our stay. Ms Thuy demonstrates a rare skill for true hospitality that you don't see often at resorts. Her genuine interest and attention to detail during our stay made our trip memorable and enjoyable. Ms Thuy has a great local knowledge of the area and made great suggestions for drivers, restaurants and things to do.
Other notable mentions concerning staff were Henry who was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about Vietnamese cuisine and culture. He served us a couple of times at the Lang Viet Restaurant and always explained the origin of dishes and how they were made.
Quoc also was another team member that made an impression with great English and a genuine friendly demeanour.
Our stay was not without hiccups, which is what anyone should reasonably expect with the resort only being 3 months old with a new team meshing together. We had a couple of issues with our room which were expertly rectified and in one case we were relocated with minimum disruption.
The resort at the moment is quiet and is obviously finding its feet which meant some nights not many people were in the restaurants or bar. We had two great experiences at the Lang Viet restaurant which is closest to the beach, I would definitely recommend eating during your stay. Breakfast was a good spread of western and eastern dishes with subtle changes to the buffet daily, my only comment would be to offer more selection of different milks for the guest to choose from e.g oat, almond etc.
The pools were fantastic and weren't too busy which meant you always had a lounge chair. My wife had a couple of treatments at the spa which is beautifully appointed and she was happy overall with the service and treatments.
We had to adjust our expectations of the local beach as living in Australia and being used to the clean beaches and clear seas are the norm. However, the resort staff always made sure the beach in front of the resort was clean and well-groomed.
In summary, I would not hesitate to book The Anam and I would safely say it is one of the top 3 resorts I have stayed in internationally. I would definitely come back and would also make a trip to visit their other property...
Read moreThis is the true 5 star resort especially for the price, I'll try to summarize as best as possible with some tips if you do decide to stay in this resort.
Tips: -The resort actually has a pillow menu which can be accessed via their TV. We only found out about this on our last day. -Book the resort via their main website, don't go through third party apps. You will get access to hugely discounted meals and spa packages. -Book their shuttle service, it is a lot cheaper than local private services and if you're the only guest that booked it, they will send an extremely luxurious private car to pick you instead of a shuttle. -Their bar has different promotions everyday, drinks were 50% off on certain days which were fantastic.
Good: -Gorgeous resort. Whatever you see in pictures, it looks even better in real life. -Food was reasonably priced. Approx. USD$30 per meal depending on what you order. Expensive for Vietnam yes, but it is honestly reasonable for a resort. -Drinks were very reasonably priced, USD$2 for a beer, USD$5-12 for cocktails which can even be delivered with room service. -Service is excellent, every staff were attentive and seemed genuinely interested in making your stay better. There were several occasions where my food was not cooked properly/not up to standard and they instantly compensated my meal without me requesting for it. Excellent service recovery. -Order their vietnamese hotpot in their lang viet restaurant, was fantastic for the price. -Breakfast was excellent, what a spread with slightly alternating menus everyday. There were perhaps 30 different items. Made me get up early everyday despite normally skipping breakfast. -Room cleanliness was literally perfect.
Bad: -Quite a lack of activities for a resort. Only complimentary activity was yoga. There were certain interesting activities but they were only available on fridays and saturdays. I stayed there sunday-wednesday... -Whatever you do, do not order their black angus steak. I cannot understand how they priced it as their most expensive menu item at approx. USD$40 but it was lean and thin with the quality of a microwave steak. Incredibly disappointing. -Their bar is cute and cozy but was quite boring. We were the only guests there everyday and one of the bartender seemed quite uninterested and bored the whole time. -The crowd was mostly made up of local families, I am unsure if it was because of the timing, but do expect quite a few kids around. It did not really bother me as they were relatively well behaved...
