Like most of the places I review, I had done my homework and determined it was worth having dinner here. I would not normally go to a resort restaurant for dinner unless I was staying there, but the reviews were great and the photos looked like beachfront dining.
I can confirm that it is basically beachfront dining, although the most comfortable tables are inside. Also, you won't see the sunset at dinner because the restaurant faces east.
The descriptions and presentation of the food were excellent. We had prawn tacos, green tea infused blackfish and the blackfish burger.
The prawn tacos were excellent. The two entrees were just good. They were somewhat bland. I did not taste any green tea or seasoning on the fish, and the pineapple in the fish burger was quite small and bland. I guess I cannot say it's worth going out of your way to eat here. The food was certainly good and I would be happy if I was staying here. It was cooked ideally and presented well. But exceptional was it not. But maybe other dishes would've been a...
Read moreRomantic beach restaurant with 🌊 view. It’s a restaurant for if you want to splurge. The dishes are amazing but expensive for Vietnamese standards. But this is not a Vietnamese place and holds a higher standard than the other places offering Vietnamese, western and Vietnamese/western fusion 🥘.
We were here during the off season for lunch and there weren’t that many people there, sharing a bottle of 🍷 with a loved one to your lunch was ideal, very romantic. Don’t know how high the pressure is during regular season.
Go here if you want a break from Vietnamese food and want well cooked western food.
We had the green tea king fish and the caprese 🍕.
The place seems to be able to cater for vegans as they mark the food that is suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. However, I did not spot any dishes marked as okay for vegans, this might just be because of being here during the less touristy season and I do believe they can veganise most of their...
Read moreFood was 5* here, the service is impeccable and the chef cooks some very innovative dishes. There is a decent menu with plenty of choice. The whole restaurant area is romantically lit and we loved the music, I recognized quite a few 80's and 90's hits playing at just the right volume in the background. By around 9am though all is quiet and all we could here was the waves lapping back and forth - bliss. The lovely part was after our meal at the end of the evening just wending our way down the lovely little path surrounded by tropical trees and plants back to our bungalow with it's thatched roof. Staff had been in each evening and lit the incense burners and candles and tidied up, although I wouldnt have left them much to do haha... My boyfriend did a Vietnamese cooking class whilst we were there and he really appreciated the tuition and help. We then enjoyed eating what he had cooked whilst sitting on our patio with an ice cold...
