UPDATE: Met the manager who was nice enough to have a discussion about my experience. My family and I had another meal (complimentary which was very kind of them). The service was brilliant the standout meals were the pizza and the T-bone with Nshima no sauce this time :). Please not it was a busy dinner service and staff were great. Happy to deduce that I think the original encounter was a once off.
ORIGINAL POST Came for lunch service on Sunday and absolutely horrendous. Sat for lunch at 14:15 and only got food at 15:50. Waitress who served us decided not to place our order and left handover notes with the wrong order. I ordered a T-bone instead of the fillet which was initially brought. Decided to take away due to lost time and realized the grilled T-Bone I want comes with a sauce on top of it(which was not mentioned) and I mean in addition to the typically steak sauces one would request on the side. If you’re a guest just get a cab and go have a meal at nearby...
Read moreWith all the Southern Sun Hotels I've been to, it saddens me to even mention that my dads home Lusaka Zambia has to be the worst experience I've ever uncounted. To their staff that treated me so poorly I have to say I am so disappointed and something should be looked into on how you treat your young black female guests. I was profiled and in that was treated poorly.
I had sat in the restaurant and had to look for a waitress and ask to be served. It seemed as if it was a continued thing for me to stand from my seat and beg to be served as if I was the one serving them. I asked numerous times for a take away to receive a response which was not excusing the manner of their bad service.
The ladies serving had attended to each couple to each international guest, but not the young black girl, and I ask myself am I not as important as the other guest because I’m young, female and black that I don’t deserve equal attention as...
Read moreStayed here for four nights. Firstly I want to appreciate Elias at reception for always being helpful and ever smiling. Fridah at reception and Angela at musuku restaurant are biased, they should work on treating clients warmly and the same, theyd only smile when they see you in corporate attire. Also, at check-in, there were no directions or any orientation given like I saw happening to other clients of yours, I wondered if you people preferred a different skin type or those that looked a certain way. I was checked in by a fair looking young man. One last observation was a waitress that braided long hair thatshe let loose almost reaching the food she served, I cannot remember her names but it'd be pleasant if everyone serving food had well groomed hair for healthy reasons. Kindly work on your service, it should not be biased, everyone should smile and treat clients fairly. I am reconsidering staying there next...
