I recently stayed at zamcom for a few days and had a mixed experience. The staff, especially Stephanie and the other receptionists, were incredibly friendly and respectful. The security guard was also pleasant. The room itself was clean, but the bed was uncomfortable and seemed broken. The shower head was too short for my height, and the shower being in a bathtub wasn't ideal. Unfortunately, my attempts to reserve a room through email and WhatsApp went unanswered. Fortunately, there was availability upon arrival. The included breakfast was very basic, consisting only of bread, jam, and peanut butter. Other lodges I've stayed at, even in lower price ranges, offered a wider variety including fruits, eggs, and cereals. Lusaka's power outages were a significant issue, and the lodge's generator didn't provide consistent power. The sockets weren't working reliably, and the Wi-Fi was often unavailable, especially after the 11 PM lights out. In the morning the shower hose was leaking so not water coming out of shower. Had to change again. If you want to turn on the aircon you have to go to the reception and call someone to come with the "universal" remote control. To switch off you have to call the same guy. ||||300 kwacha for a double room. No omelette included.||||This hotel is being milked until it breaks into pieces. No maintenance what so ever. ||||Edit: it became even better:||Paying the check I told them again the complains I had. They did not want to go down a single kwacha. Full prize. I wanted to pay what I payed before in the backpackers hostel for a privat room with fresh sheets and a working shower. It had better standard. They closed the gate and kept me locked in for half an hour together with two other groups of guests. I feared to miss my flight so I had to pay.||The taxi driver again was...
