I was surprised to see that such a good product like the iced coffee and chocolate with added protein, are nearly 20 percent smaller. They have gone for 500 ml instead of 600 ml and retailers are charging more. Good indulgence but I will never pay more for less product. Smaller product, for more dollars, No Thanks. That is a kick in pants for customers. But what do you expect when their two litre milks are made in a different place and taste completely different to the identical product in a 600 ml carton. Cheaper and lower quality in the 2 litres. That's my experience. I am amazed how poorly this company treats its customers, with regular cuts in quality and package size. I look forward to the whole range of 600 ml being reduced to 500 ml. Inevitable really. I give it eight weeks. At least it tastes okay. Masters is just undrinkable. Taste like a...
Read moreI bought a Browns 500ml Light Sour Cream from Girrawheen IGA and after putting it on my whole families meal we discovered that it was off and tasted fizzy on out tongues. It still had around 3 weeks shelf life according to the use by date so I returned to IGA to get a replacement and was told, when I told her I've just thrown about $30 worth of meals out because of this, 'There's nothing I can do about that' by the girl at the returns desk. She then said 'we have had problems with products from suppliers before' infering it is the fault of Browns Dairy. This is unacceptable from whom ever is at fault as this is a health risk. My kids have been complaining of nausea starting about an hour from ingesting this so I will be taking this further with The...
Read moreI'd never heard of Brownes Dairy until I spotted their Vanilla (Flavoured) Custard in Harris Farm Markets West End (Qld). Being a dedicated custard fan since my childhood, I loved the idea of trying a completely different brand, so gave it a go.
For me, the custard had a really unique milky edge to it, different to most custards I've tried before. I really enjoyed it. However, the one big negative was the high sugar levels and very sweet taste which, although not instantly noticeable, crept up quickly. At 30g of sugar per serve, this is not a custard to guzzle. Which, for the record, I'm normally more than capable of doing!
Overall, a quality product and one that I enjoyed. Had it been somewhat less sweet, it would have...
