Calamvale Central — Local services in Brisbane City

This centre used to be a wonderful vibrant one-stop-shop full of variety for ALL cultures, needs and tastes. You could spend hours there shopping & catching up with friends and family for lunch. Unfortunately no more. Most importantly and of the greatest concern and anger, is that a successful takeover occurred without consultation and with the obvious agenda to kill off the standard, expected suppliers including Big W, clothing chains and homewares stores, banks and the Coffee club which everyone used & to the loss of hundreds of jobs.

Instead the entire centre is solely & exclusively focused on Asian food to the exclusion of other cuisines, activities, providers or care for people with allergies. I love sushi & stir fry like most people when I can find GF but not when I need everyday essentials like clothes, socks, garden pots, bedding, office supplies etc etc I am pleased but trepidatious that the Woollies still survived!

From a business perspective they have successfully restricted at least 60% of their clientele in our MULTI cultural, multi socio-economic, society.

Who allowed this destruction of a necessary facility ? Absolute stupidity and discriminatory Brisbane City Council, stop catering to the dollar and stand up for the rights and interests of all your constituents and control this growing issue!! I...

Old lady working as a Justice of the peace here is more like a 'Justice of the devil' DO NOT go here to have your documents signed! We were told by people in line she had sent them home to retrieve more files and more forms of ID & that she was rude! The second we entered, she was condescending and extremely rude. She then accused my wife of being sick and began questioning if we had travelled overseas. She then, just like the other people in line, said we didn't have enough forms and ID and sent us home. We went to another JP and the forms and ID we had were suffice. This lady obviously has a massive chip on her shoulder and her JP license should be revoked! Each and every time that I've needed either my shopping from Woolworths or Audi which ID like to shop at as well there's also super cheap that I can pick up a few bits and pieces from and additionally there's also the liquor outlets which is a quite a good one BWS give some really good discounts overall for the shopping centre I would definitely give it a 5 there's some very nice people out there and things have changed a lot in management or the actual establishment has upgraded a few bits and pieces I've also got the Chemist Warehouse unbelievably great and some really nice areas for getting haircut to newsagents 2 jewellery additionally to that is also the doctors and I find them...
