Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery — Local services in Brisbane City

Absolutely disgraceful. We had a few storms earlier in the day that had cleared hours before but they cancelled. This was not the problem. The problem was that we drove 45 minutes (each way) because they didn't have the decency to let us know. When asked why they didn't text me and let me know, they claimed that they contacted everyone on the list. That was a blatant lie as there was another group there that were not told either. They claimed that they put the cancelation on Face Book 2 hours earlier. Absolutely useless for us who are not on Face Book. The greatest insult was that throughout the entire conversation they didn't even attempt an apology, in fact they blamed us ! It will be interesting to see if they refund us (as promised), seeing that they couldn't find my number "on the list". They should be offering us another tour free of charge ! I did a night tour 2 weeks ago, it was awesome. The tours are run by very passionate volunteers who know about about the history of the cemetary & events in Brisbane. Really enjoyed the tour, the stories were very interesting & were told in a very engaging way. I would definitely recommend checking them out. I’ll be back soon to do more of the different tours...

My friend and I did the Secrets of South Brisbane Cemetery night tour and it was super interesting. Both Chris and Tracy were knowledgeable and passionate about the history contained in the cemetery. It was nice to have some examples of what the price of tickets helps contribute towards as well. (Restoration and such.) I hope to attend...
