VEND Cafe Annerley — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Been here twice for breakfast and I can tell you the Turkish eggs are dynamite 🧨 definitely the best around town. Inside with the market stall is great and honestly would be great for getting Christmas gifts etc.

He’s why I dropped 2 stars..

1st Here’s a picture of the hash browns I got.. what I don’t understand is you can do a 5 star breakfast dish but you send these out??? There’s not even potato to be seen just pretty much deep fried until it’s cardboard.

2nd Luke warm coffee… I can p!ss hotter then the coffee I received.

3rd Playground is a good concept to have, though the most boring piece of equipment I’ve seen in sometime. The idea is to keep the young ones occupied for longer than 6mins enough time so we can finish an uninterrupted needed coffee. The space is there just not utilised. Some extra small equipment to keep them entertained wouldn’t hurt otherwise what’s the point !? May as well take it away and have more seating for weekend breakfast rushes.

The cafe is tucked away in the back of @vend_annerley marketplace. There’s an outdoor play area for the kiddies and i think outside is pup friendly too 🐶 . Our food: ~ Salt & Pepper Calamari w/ Chips & Salad ~ Super Green Bowl ~ Mocha over Ice & Long Black ☕️ . After placing the order via the table’s QR code, the food and drinks quickly arrived. Wifey loved her calamari - lightly coated and fried, it was really yummy, as were their chippies. (Wifey & I both like it when things aren’t super deep fried to the max haha) 😜 . My Super Green Bowl lived up to its name and my expectations. It looked healthy, tasted great and had loads of greens - the crispy kale gave out an overall nice texture too 🤤 . There’s plenty more on the menu for us to try (I’m keen to try their burgers & hoping the fish tacos make a come back too) 😊 . What a pleasant surprise! Came here to shop for gifts to support local makers, ended up LOVING the cafe! We ordered savoury mince, eggs Benedict with mushrooms (truffle sauce and n a croissant!), followed by the matcha French toast. All dishes were so visual and tasty, we ended up sharing all dishes with each other. Chased it with possibly the best lemonade I’ve ever tasted and this a place I’m itching to go back to try more things on the menu. I would highly recommend going to support this place.
