Fairfield Skatepark — Attraction in Brisbane City

A concrete transition focused park with some decent lines but not too flowy. Good for beginners to gnar lords of the bowl or tranny technologists. Standout would be the twin set of very wide 5ft ramps joined by a spine, and clover shaped bowl with deep section to vert. Fun to be had on a tight 3ft quarter section that almost gets to vert, a bank that transitions tightly to a mini wall ride, and a fast banked starting run to race down and across a long flat over and up to a euro gap so you can flail your feet around like a dick and pretend to get tech in hope of landing a backside...

My inline skates are old yet incredibly trusty, and this skate park gave me the opportunity to “do some tricks” after eight years off the wheels due to an unfortunate incident on Brisbane Corso. Not too bad a skatepark with a nice bowl, spine and a few nice transitions. As another reviewer said, it has a bit of a locals only vibe to it and when we were there about 20 teens on bikes were trying to assert their dominance by taking up the entire park and coming enticingly close to my ready to be thrown fists.
