Paten Park Native Nursery — Local services in Brisbane City

Really glad I found this place! On the hunt for free trees under local council program and thought I would make the trip across town. Glad I did, so much variety. Including many suitable trees for my catchment which is a rare find from what I have experienced in the past. The note plaques on plants are appreciated. The more you buy the cheaper they get. Umbrellas and portable toilets available while shopping here. Limited parking close by but didn’t have a problem getting a park on a gloomy day that I visited. Lovely new walk through entrance has been added recently. Will look great once established. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable.

I have to say that being in the presence of Mr. Paul Ryan , and spending time with him today , has been a great privilege . Not only did we get to know Paten Park Native Nursery better , it was a real eye opener for us , learning just how much work and dedication is put in to preserving our native Queensland Plants. This nursery is run with the heart and soul of a few great people . We believe that this iconic place is well worth a great review . Budget nursery specialising in native plants. At the time of writing, prices for undiscounted plants start at $2.50, with bulk discounts and specials that make things even cheaper. I didn't see any plants for over $6 there, and BCCC ratepayers can receive two plants for free if they bring the appropriate vouchers. A wide range is available, and there are informative signs near every available plant, with common and Latin names, uses, cultivation instructions and so on. Well...
