Exceptional Stay at Burra Caravan and Camping Park We recently had the pleasure of staying at Burra Caravan and Camping Park. Despite arriving a day earlier than planned during the busy long weekend, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They managed to play caravan park Tetris and found us a beautiful grassed powered site, making our stay very comfortable. From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed. The park is tidy and well set out, with spacious sites that easily fit our van and car. The bathrooms are a bit old but very clean. The park’s location is ideal—just a short walk to the town centre, allowing easy access to local shops, cafes, and attractions. Whether you’re passing through or planning a longer stay, we highly recommend Burra Caravan and Camping Park. The combination of friendly staff, a well-maintained park, and a convenient location makes it a great choice for travellers.

Beautiful place the rooms are stunning they are like the old school stone houses they have the nicest beds so comfortable and were supplied with plenty of blankets and that's something you will need if your there in winter as it will be extremely cold the only issue I had was the hot water system broke while we were there so that was really disappointing as we needed showers and also it was extremely cold when we were there and the only other complaint I'd have is they need a heater in the bedroom also as they have one in the lounge room area but the heater really didn't reach the bedroom or maybe we just didn't know how to use the heater right but either way that would be my only suggestion. All in all its an amazing place in and amazing little area and I would definitely come back here and stay

We had a positive experience booking and staying here. Three of us booked separately and asked to be together. They put us in a perfect spot. Although on the road there was almost no traffic noise. The caretakers were friendly and amenities very clean. Power and water $30 a night. Great location for exploring Burra, just a short walk into town centre and a number of places of interest. We recommend the heritage trail (give yourself at least 2 days here).

I rarely submit reviews, but I felt this was necessary due to the unpleasant nature of the staff on the phone at this caravan park. Unfortunately, I had to cancel a prepaid booking for a caravan site due to health reasons, It took three emails to even get a response. The first email no response, the second email all I got back was a confirmation of the booking and the third one finally prompted them to call me. No issue with that call, my credit card given and refund processed. I continued to monitor my bank balance over the next few days and hadn’t seen any money so I called to query if there had been a mistake with the transaction. Well, the woman on the other end of the phone was nothing but hostile on the phone giving me attitude telling me she couldn’t produce a receipt for me so I could show my bank bewildered by the conversation I ended up hanging up. Sometime later, she called back again with a similar attitude and told me she’d gone and produced a receipt also telling me it’s something she didn’t have do but she did because she didn’t like being accused of not doing something. I’m in customer service so know that’s now how you treat people. It’s a shame it’s the only caravan park in town because when I am able to plan the trip again and we are passing through I’d rather stay on the side of the road in a truckstop than give my money this...

While the caravan park has an excellent location so close to the town, all the sites are gravel. It's a bare bones tight park with not much lawn. The unpowered sites are supposed to be lawned, but are mostly dirt. The facilities are clean and modest. We were located right next to the facilities which was handy, but the Dyson hand dryer was very loud at 6am! We were also next to the dump point which smelled and was not a joy. We were told that we couldn't light our brazier, even though on the gravel it would have been fine. Our biggest complaint is how we booked two sites opposite each other, yet when we arrived to they were 50m apart. Fortunately our site had space for our friends to pitch their tent (but still on gravel, we weren't allowed to use the lawn adjacent). Burra is a great location, but I would not...
