I have been buying meat and other items from Madina Market from day one. The place has improved significantly under Atiq and it is a typical friendly, old fashioned family oriented store like the ones which no longer exist. He knows his individual customers and I have seen both Muslims & non-Muslims treated with courtesy and a smile, unlike many places.

At times I questioned his meat prices and he never hesitated to show me the invoice from his suppliers - I no longer question Atiq as his margins are ridiculously low. He always tries to offer the best quality produce and value for money for his clients but is at the mercy of his suppliers who are the actual price gougers.

Given the price of meat, I expect to buy the best and Madina Market never fails. I no longer buy meat from anywhere else and support a local honest business which puts customers first – a rarity...

Firstly, amazing customer service! It is literally like a family shop, where customers are treated extremely nicely and the owners go out of the way to cater you! I am very fussy about the meat I buy and I have had the best experience with them in Canberra! It's clean, it's cut up nicely and the prices are good as well.
