Hope Island Gourmet Meats — Local services in Gold Coast City

So horrible. I came in during the cyclone to grab some meat to cook on the bbq - I’d been driving around all day trying to find meat for my family as we’ve lost power for 3 days and have no food left. Woolies, Coles and all other butchers were sold out (I called ahead). I had my puppy in my arms as I didn’t want to leave her home alone in the storm, and have been able to take her in to my local butcher at paradise point before without a problem, and one of the staff shooed me away with his hands (appeared to maybe be the owner) and looked disgusted, and said “I serve meat to customers, not dogs. Yuck” I almost cried - never been so stressed and to be treated so rudely when everyone is going through a difficult time...

Ok so to start with I am French so not easy to satisfy with food. A part from being very nice people which is common to most Australian. I must say this butcher has from far the best chicken and the best lamb I could find on the Gold Coast. The chicken is not filled with water like in the supermarket so you really get a lot for your money and it does test delicious ! The lamb was also delicious and tender ! So yo really know where you money goes. Beef so far was above average, less impressive but still very good. Only disappoint so far was the porc but we may just have had a bad lot , we will try again. Our son recommended we visit Ralph & purchase some beef sausages whilst in the area. We moved to The Gold Coast from Hunters Hill last year and were looking for a quality butcher because we are fussy. Definitely worth the drive. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Great quality, we now drive there to buy all our meat....
