Warburton's Butchers — Local services in Greater Brisbane

I am so disappointed to receive such service from Warburton’s Butchers this evening that I could never expect. I was looking for double whole chickens that to be skin off & cut in to curry pieces. The initial staff member (young man) was polite & accepted, when there was another staff member who was dealing with other customer, suddenly jumped in and told me rudely that I can’t get it cut in to curry pieces. I should have come before 5:30pm, if I would have needed curry pieces. I entered the shop at 5:40pm on Wednesday. I completely understand that considering 6pm is closing time, the back area must have been cleaned which makes sense as well. But the way the second staff member approached me, was horrifying and started asking repeatedly if I understand what he said. The staff member was completely racist, rude & discriminating. My question is, if you publish that you are open until 6pm, your services should be available until 6pm, unless you publish otherwise in internet (limited service available after 5:30pm). I completely understand & respect that after working hard, everyone deserve to leave on time. If back area have been cleaned & the service is not available, it is fine, but racist behavior isn’t acceptable at any point. Hope, staff members are more trained with the basic sense as to how not to discriminate people by seeing their color or different...

I've never had a bad "meat experience" or a bad experience point blank, at Warby's Lawnton - which is something I can not say about any other butchers in the area! We've tried other butchers and nothing compares to Warby's really. We love the Chicken Breast sausages, and have not found a butcher anywhere else that can put as much flavour into those sausages as Warby's can. They are to die for full of flavour! I also love the fact I can go in and put in an order a large pork shoulder (usually around 4KG) and come back in a couple of days to pick it up, and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. We spice rub that bad boy up and then slow and low BBQ smoke that for about 9 hours until it is fall apart tender and juicy as! We've tried other butchers for our pork shoulder, but we've always been disappointed with a very fatty chunk of meat that didn't live up to our expectations, but NOT at Warby's! We've never been given bad pork shoulders ever! I also love the fact you go in and the staff are friendly and talkative and do ask how your day has been - other butchers you can go in and WAIT for someone to feel like serving you! Warby's know what customer service is and how to please customers. ...

I am really disappointed. I've been coming here for 3 years since living on the Northside and continued to go there even after I moved 3 hours north of Brisbane. There was one elderly bloke who was always lovely, always went out of his way to say hello and have a yarn with you. And the one woman who works there is always nice as well as one bloke with the beard and another bloke. The rest are awful, really rude. I've made the decision to not go there anymore due to this. I feel it is unconscious racism but of course, they would deny it. I am certain a couple of the men refuse to serve me every time I go in as they will ignore me when I am standing at the counter but when another customer comes up, they will serve them before me. I can't even get a hello out of them, its just weigh the meat, scan and pay. This isn't a safe space for Mob unfortunately, not that they would care. 2 stars for the quality of meat, its really good. But I am not spending my money...
