Coles Newstead — Local services in Launceston

I love my closest local store as I get to be familiar with the same staff and most are friendly and memorable. Unfortunately it is just a convenience store, less product than Kings Meadows but just the same with lack of usually purchased items. I bought Potato Salad from the DELI today and found it inedible. Staffs don’t know what’s going on with their own promotion and 2 of the women just didn’t bother and didn’t seem wanna help at all.

One didn’t even look at me when speaking and asked for help from this other staff. She simply said ‘ who knows?’ and walked away.

I asked for a catalogue to show them and she replied ‘ we run out of them ‘ ‘ oh and she is getting it for you’ with THE SHE standing next to her doing nothing.

How lazy and rude but maybe that’s why they end...

Since the overhaul of the checkouts, they basically pressure you to checkout your own groceries, then if you don't want to you have to ask them to serve you. Clearly from a few visits there is less staff now with the new set up. They have also sneakily taken away most of the deli pre packacked meats which they said they would promise to sell after the deli was closed down. The prices are expensive and the range poor, will drive to kings meadows instead now...
