MY DINE-IN DINNER was absolutely amazing, great and fast service, hot, fresh and delicious meal. Great value for money, was only $15.50 for a large Mongolian Beef dish, and it was absolutely HUGE, Chinese Chicken and Corn Soup was extremely hot, but also delicious and great value at only $6.50 per bowl. Was so impressed went back less than a week later for tge $11.50 LUNCH DEAL, ordered the same dish eaten previously which came with fried rice and a 375ml soft drink as part of tge lunch deal. Sadly it was not enjoyable, and nothing like the dinner I ate 6 days prior, then I had diahorrea within 40 minutes of eating, hopefully just a one off bad meal, but quite disappointed after my amazing dinner dish and high recommendations made to family and friends days before. May try again one day, certainly not for a while though ... back to...

Food appears to have been made up from leftover scraps.
Inconsistent blends of the same food with different colours and firmness.
The chef didn't appear to know any local language or acknowledge customers.
Grubby clothes, with aged 't' shirt both the clothes and person needed a good bath.
The containers used to transfer ingredients to the wok appear to need to be cleaned out rather than kept topped up.
And the refrigerator could do with a good wash and thorough clean.
Filthy floor with leaf litter on the restaurant floor and an open door to a drive through bottle shop.

Located in Newstead, Tasmania the Fortune Wok is just another Chinese Takeaway with facilities to Dine in if you fancy basic furniture. They are prompt and efficient but fixed in what they can serve an example of their lack of adaptability was when I requested a small rice for my 5 yo granddaughter the best they could offer was their small special fried rice at $12 a serving at some other places a small plain rice is $3.50 Most Launceston Chinese Takeaways could well do with some Melbourne style competition.
