This is a hard one to rate. Overall I liked it, OK prices, fresh food and solid service.
BUT they need to review the use of 'pepper' (Timur) that they put into the food.
Looking at the reviews I wonder if this is a new cook/chef? Or are customers just 'assuming its a them thing'/giving them the 'benefit of the doubt' and just not reviewing/returning?
I don't think a complete 'dumbing down' is necessarily useful, but if multiple diners/tables are telling you the same thing and some are struggling to eat the meal/leaving food, then some changes are probably needed. To make the food more 'approachable'.
Nepali cuisine is very unfamiliar to me, but things that might help?:
put an explanation on the menu about the weird mouth/lounge 'tingling' this ingredient produces, if people know what to expect its less of a concern
highlight the dishes which contain a lot of this ingredient, so people can pick other options if they want to
if possible create a paste that can be added after cooking at the table by the diner, probably not ideal but neither is people not returning as customers
I think the cook/chef needs to remember there is likely food/ingredients he would not necessarily enjoy because its unfamiliar/no tolerance. Instead of just thinking it's 'normal' and not changing anything, which is the 'vibe' I got.
With some changes in this area, I think customers would be much happier and...

Read moreFirst time. Visiting. Spacious and quiet. Service was really good and very helpful, can not fault the service. The garlic flat bread was nice and fluffy and had a really nice char taste as well and mix it with the mint dipping sauce peefecto. The chicken chow menu is the best I've tried in Launceston by far. The other person got the dumpling buffet and they said very well worth it. The mixed Berry in house made ice cream was the best. The mixed berries were not sour, the ice cream was not too dairy tasting it was all very blended well. And well for the drinks. They are not watered down alcoholic drinks For the money it was well worth it and we will definitely be back. Oh and if your worried about allergies or over powering coriander don't be he is awesome to talk to and...
