Best kebab iāve ever had. Glenny Kebabs in Glen Waverley was my previous favourite since 2018, Bennet is my new favourite. Will need to dine again to measure consistency
Kebab was served hot and fresh. Perfect amount of sauce and did not drip out of the bottom. Meat was not oily but still moist. Bread was very good and cooked fresh. Canāt be sure if itās made on site. Proportions meat to salad was perfect. Enough freshness to balance the meat which in turn caused the texture to become delightful.
Chips were served very hot and crispy. These might be some of the best chips iāve ever had. Freshly fried and not reheated. Generous serving in the Large fries option - could be a snack by itself.
The building is in an industrial area and it may be hard to get parking or access the building due to it being located on a busy road. The place was not busy (unusual for a kebab joint) when I visited in June. This may be due to the place being out of town.
They also serve pizza and HSPs which iāll try next time to get a grasp on the quality however judging by other reviews and pictures, looks delicious.
Donāt be fooled by the atmosphere, the food is completely worth it from Bennet.
Due to inflation, the price is on the medium-high end for a kebab but this is overcome by the wonderful quality.
Thanks for a great meal,...
Ā Ā Ā Read morein a long time as the previous owners only used it as a lunch shop for the workers nearby and the food was mediocre to say the le is being WAY too nice! But when we stopped in today I was surprised at what was inside. The menu is small, but lots of variety. Everything was cooked fresh to order and was absolutely delicious. I ordered a HSP pack that came with a coke, and I donāt usually eat them, but this was incredible. The cheese was pre-melted, so the chips were still crunchy, there was no oil in the bottom of the tray. It was perfectly balanced and cooked to perfection. My partner ordered the chicken biryani, cooked fresh in front of our eyes. And it was delicious! Plenty of chicken in the rice, the rice was cooked perfectly and I honestly couldnāt say a bad thing about the food. The shop itself was nothing special, which just tells me they are more interested in making sure that the food was top quality and fresh, rather than making the place look good. Their food says everything! The staff are friendly and welcoming and theyāre open until midnight. Prices are fair, more than reasonable in fact and itās amazing that this place hasnāt been discovered already and is packed out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn a rainy Thursday I tried Bennet Street Kebab and i was created by the friendly owner and amazed by the large range of food available. I tried the Afghani Chicken Bolani which is a Potato, Green Onion Stuffed Flatbread. I've had it before and this one tasted amazing!
I my wife got a chicken kabab which she was initially surprised by its big size and was pleased by chickeny goodness.
Lastly I couldn't resist trying the chicken biryani. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but I was very impressed by the flavour and large chicken and together with the sauce I got with the Bolani, I was a very satisfied customer.
It whole meal was very affordable.
I will definitely be back very soon.
*I could only take a picture of my wife's kabab because I devoured...
