UPDATE: As apparently I can't leave multiple reviews. We went to Coles last night but we'd just missed the cutoff time (10pm) however as my housemate's diabetic Cirsn (hope I spelled it right) and another staff member whose name I didn't catch were kind enough to let us in, as all we wanted was juice. I complained there was ne Golden Circle pineapple juice (the Coles around the corner ALWAYS has plenty -I don't understand why that store goels loads, why can't the stock can't be diistrubed between both stores equally?). Anyway the staff member went to the chilled section and found pineapple juice there for me. Talk about above and beyond! Cirian(?), while scanning my housemat's' items, allowed my housemate to to go and get some crisps, my housemate is in a wheelchair so the other staff member went with him and helped him reach the crisps which was incredibly helpful. I can't thank him & Cirian' (?)I enough and I do hope they get some kind of recognition for helping us (people on need}. We are both disabled although I don't need a wheelchair -unlike my housemate. Please pass on praise to them for their huge hearts -I literally can't express my gratitude in words.
LOVE living around the corner from this place, it has all the necessities: pharmacy, post office, bank, hair salon, Aldi, Coles, fantastic 'tailor', great threading spot, beautiful florist, and a couple of homewares/$2 shops as well. Although the fruit and veg shop isn't as good as it once was, it's still pretty damn good. The one thing I really miss is the fish monger which closed shortly after I moved back into the area from living in LA. Such a shame. And Rivers used to be great too, plus Dimmeys/Forges down in the bottom corner, and I remember buying my old sofa bed at the huge 'bargain' warehouse place in the top left corner too (probably around 2007?)... So many memories, such...
Read moreThis is an important place, for the part of West Melbourne's development and history. Famous for amongst other things, the development of an Airplane ✈️ now sitting in the entrance to Central West, is an actual WW2 fighter plane, place to see an original. The aircraft, was manufactured in Braybrook. Once seen as one of our nation's most industrious area's, along with Aircraft in Laveton, RAF / RAAF - Royal Australian Airforce origins can be found, right here in a peaceful and humble corner of suburban West Melbourne, Victoria.
Now home to a residential area with little to show, of how this area once played a major part, in shaping the aviation industry, which was grown from this land, to where it's now.. all but a memory. Home to a shopping centre, once home to the workshops, our forefathers, renowned for vast improvements, technology delivered in many varied stages, masters of the aviation industry & many wide reaching development's, which if you're ever near, maybe you'll hear an echo.. from a time, when Australia truly, was the lucky country, where pioneers could be found, on every page of any map... go see it and maybe, you'll hear the sounds, experience it...
Read moreI recently visited Central West Shopping Center in Braybrook, and I had an amazing experience! This shopping center has a fantastic variety of stores, from fashion to Fresh Friut , and everything in between. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re looking for the latest trends or just need to pick up essentials.
One of the highlights for me was the incredible selection of takeaway food options! The food court has a wide range of choices, from delicious Asian cuisine to Small healthy eats. It’s the perfect spot for grabbing a quick bite after a busy shopping spree or just enjoying a meal with friends and family.
The center is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The staff are friendly, and there’s always a great vibe whenever I visit. Whether you’re doing some serious shopping or just stopping by for a tasty meal, Central West Shopping Center is definitely a place worth visiting....
