Corner Hot fish and chips — Local services in Melbourne

I recently ordered calamari pack and fish bites from this store and I was so impressed! Both of them were absolutely delicious. The fish bite was perfectly crispy on the outside and so tender inside—just the way it should be. The batter was light and crunchy, not greasy at all. And I personally loved salty chips, which I asked for extra salt for my chips. And they were golden and crispy, and they held up really well even after the short drive home.

What I also appreciated was how well everything was packaged. The fish and chips were packed securely to prevent any mess, and the portions were generous. The food stayed hot and fresh, which is always a bonus when ordering takeaway.

The staff was friendly when I placed my order, and the service was quick. Even though I ordered for takeaway, the quality of the food felt like it had been freshly made with care.

I’ll definitely be ordering from it again the next time I’m craving fish and chips. Highly recommend it if you're looking for quality takeaway...

For suburban fish and chips, this place does it well! Moist fish (not overcooked!), and at good value. Better than your standard fluoro yellow chips, more leaning towards pub style. Complimentary lemon wedges and what may be house made tartare but definitely isn’t the individually packaged and overly sweet variety which I loathe. Extra points would be gained by offering chicken salt and getting a batter on the fish that comes out a bit more crispy. But points for it being a thin batter. Would recommend coming here and taking it to the nearby park to enjoy in the afternoon sun! $35...

My partner picked up some fish and potato cakes tonight, so I didn't actually see the store itself to comment on the service, but goodness me, the fish and potato cakes were so good, particularly the potato cakes, which in most places are fatty batter and not much else... not these, these were beautiful and ample ones you could really sink your teeth into, in a crispy and delicious batter.
