Oh great sweets, and best samosa in Melbourne.. I just love it.. I must say friendly staff. Hello all who wish to read my comments. I have been a driver for 4 years now and during that time I have seen just how successful the small shop has grown with more clients. This only happens if the quality is of high standards. I might add I am an Australian and so very proud to work within an Indian culture. There are no short cuts to quality as all ingredients are bought fresh. I recently visited India for two weeks in which after looking of the standards of living there I was extremely hesident in eating in so many places due to the lack of hygiene displayed. The other factor that I have seen from this small shop in deer Park is the amount of work that is produced there by so few and the hours put in to achieve deadlines to provide the many festivals during the year is along with the super effort during Diwali is simply amazing. During my time here I have developed personal friends within the culture in which why I went to India as a guest to attend a wedding there. Whilst in India I saw much poverty which was at a level I had not experienced before. Regardless of that image everywhere my wife and I visited I was received with such happiness by so many people there. My experience will never be forgotten by ourselves and I have returned with so much knowledge in such a short time giving me greater understanding of the culture and as to where my fellow workers have come from. This in turn makes me more aware and proud of the owner or owners of Kumar sweets for what they have built in a forigen...
Read moreI have been a customer of this shop since years. But during my last visit, I was disappointed in various ways. Quality down, prices up for 5 different varieties I bought. Paid for 2 full rasmalai, came home and saw 1 full and 1 broken 3/4 was packed. Dhokla, just ok like other items. Didn't get value for my hard earned money, especially during these days. Felt ripped off totally. Worst part was payment time. If you buy even 200 dollars plus items over there, they will top you with 1.4 % surcharge giving blame in very arrogant way to the machine. Another rip off. Who carries cash now. Being a good and responsible community member, they should upgrade their system according to changing time. From now onwards, I will prefer to support much deserving other smaller businesses, heaps of them, who know how to treat and value their customers in really fair ways in everyway.
Previous day, forgot to add this. From the box of paapri chat, got 1 almost 1 inch big plastic scrap. Carefully checked all the boxes of various items brought from them. No defect in any of the boxes. That means, that scrap of broken plastic was given to me as free gift. Luckily, I don't have any small child in my house. Even if eaten or swallowed by mistake by any elder, the result would have been disastrous. You don't deserve to have royal and loyal customers like us. Good...

Bought Malai Ghevar with huge expectations, but was served Ghevar with lot of RasMalai liquid on top. Third class worst tasting Ghevar ever. Regret ordering it. 0 stars.
Also ordered Motichoor laddo which has been their best sweet, I must say it's 1/5, fully wet, compressed laddo, you can't even see Moti in moti choor Laddoo, not does if taste good And I also bought Milk Cake, complete Joke, totally disgusting 0/5
Only thought in my mind ATM is how can a Halwai make the most basic sweet like Laddoo and kalakand. Something is seriously wrong.
Review is for selected Sweets in 2023
Motichoor Laddoo being the Best here. Kaju Katli, MilkCake Balushahi, Mangobarfi, RasMalai and ChamCham all are yummy.
Samosas could have been much better. On that note I haven't found a 5Star Rating Samosa sofar in Melbourne.
Staff is very helpful 😇 Uncle Ji at Counter is also very Jolly.
ProTip: Take whatever you want but done forget to eat Motichoor Laddoo Have 🍽️ Dinner at Aangan or Kesari if...
