Not sure how long Saffron Delights has been at Brandon Park as I first visited there again today after several months. I mention this as it seemed a bit like this place didn't quite know what they were doing yet.
Ordered the 2-curry lunch deal takeaway for $11.99. The food was of a reasonable quality for food-court Indian. However, the lady who served me had to look at their Lunch Specials sign to know what to provide me.
Portion sizing is terrible - way too much rice, and not enough of either curry (they are put into tiny little compartments in the plastic serving tray). There was maybe 3-5 pieces of meat in each, and not enough sauce. Then, in the compartment that is the equivalent size of both of the curry spaces, the raita yoghurt is served - and it is a massive waste of space. On top of that, I was given an extra pot of raita that I didn't need or use.
Had the corner compartments been filled with curry, I'd have been happy with the $12 cost, as it is, it was a tad underwhelming.

Read moreNice little indian restaurant in the heart of Wheelers Hill. Took me right back to South India with their flavours. Their chicken 65 is just mouth-watering, and their veg curry options are just breathtaking, I had the mixed veg and it blew me away. The lamb rogan josh, beef vindaloo and chicken options are amazing as I bought them for my dad and he LOVED them. Price is SO reasonable and quantity is very generous. Food is perfectly cooked and genuinely delicious. The young lady serving me was so kind and the owners are lovely. Would 100% recommend it for a hearty lunch. Will be back soon with my...
