1 star for the bar staff and food, and minus 2 stars for the kitchen staff and the amount of time it took to get our food - therefore no stars.

Lunch in The Central and Grill @ Village Green

The good: The service was good. The process to order food and drinks was easy.

Bad:1. First two tables we sat at were sticky that even after moving to the third table my hand was still so sticky that I had to go wash it. "Oh, the varnish on the tables have eroded and they have become sticky - please sit somewhere else if you wish" Slow, slow, slow, slow food delivery. Two entrees and four mains were ordered in two separate orders but one after the other (so basically together) Half an hour went by and we got delivery of the first entree (bruscetta). It was okay, but not good. After a lot more minutes the first main comes out - the chicken parma. Dry chicken, mushroom sauce using tiny mushrooms placed under the parma. Why??? Sub par. Second entree and other mains still not delivered half hour after delivery of the first main). We went and asked. The calamari entree came out. It was fine, but a very little serve - where was the rest of it? After a little while, the 200g fillet steak special came out. The request was for medium rare - it was more medium-well done. Dry and tasteless. The red wine jus was just a wet sauce - very little flavour. Again went and asked for the other mains. The service staff looked into it. Apologies, complimentary drinks and complimentary garlic bread arrived. Still no mains. 15 minutes later the other chicken parma arrived and the fish and chips. Chicken parma was dry, sauce and topping was flavourless, and again mushroom sauce was underneath. The fish and chips were okay.

One and a hours to receive sub-par food. This kitchen needs to pick up its act and get better cooks.

Would I return again? Never in a...

went for lunch today arrived at 1pm looking forward to the great buffet that my husband assured me was served here. Not a great fan of buffets at the best of times but this one is one I shall remember for a long time. Where do I start, picked up two plates as the first one still had dried food attached to it (good start) then on to the buffet selection as usual the deep fried food spring rolls , onion rings (I think) chips all sitting there looking like they have been there for at least a week, followed by some rather revolting looking asian section with the obligatory sweet and sour. Then on to the carvery which consisted of some rather dried up pieces of meat and fat floating in oil in the Bain Marie , undercooked pumpkin a dish with a few peas floating in it a small piece of corn some rather undercooked dauphinois potatoes and rather white looking roast potatoes. Decided that a bread roll might be a better option only to find that they were either stale or had been defrosted in a microwave dried out and inedible. Did not even entertain the dessert buffet as I couldn't stand the thought of the fare that , that was about to offer. The whole buffet area was covered in dropped food and spilt sauces etc no one was bothering to replenish the buffet or even clean it, plenty of staff standing around having great conversations though. Even though it seems you clientele is made up of mainly senior citizens they still have taste buds. Put your prices up improve your food and for gods sake...

We booked for the 7.15pm session. Would have helped if we were advised at the time of booking that we could potentially be waiting well over the session time for staff to clean tables, put away dirty plates and cutlery and wait for patrons from previous session to finish. My husband, our 4 yr old son, myself and husbands parents arrived at 7.12pm, only to be looked at blankly by a young staff member with "sorry we cant let anyone in yet" as she rushed off. 3 mins to session time and we can't at least be seated..why? By then there were perhaps 15 of us just standing around like wnkers. I gave it until 7.15pm. By then your staff were still cleaning. So I asked a different staff member can we be seated. Rudely, with attitude I was told "no still cleaning'. I pointed out it was 7.15pm and she snapped back that our eating time would be extended. No, my issue with the situation was that the two staff members continued to walk past us group of waiting patrons without even just a simple "hey guys so sorry just a little delay with cleaning up we wont be much longer". I don't have a problem waiting as long as we are acknowledged and given a heads up. That's all that had to happen. Yes I told one of them to get "your sht together" which may have been a bit uncalled for but her response when I asked if we could at least be seated was also unprofessional and petty. 0 stars if I could. Oh and the ambience of the place could be improved, the atmosphere felt like I was...

Had a wonderful time at the queen tribute concert, but was completely disregarded when i called for a seat due to a disability. I was informed by managment to speak to Lee and all would be good. So i went ahead and booked. Once i arrived i was told by Lee that they had heaps of calls for seats and it was first in best dressed which simply meant the chairs were being used by anyone. My suggestion in the future as i saw others in wheel chairs unable to even see the stage, that you really should be more considerate of people with disabilities. Provide an area to the side of the stage thats all that would have been needed. Wont be coming back, will watch my events elsewhere.

Apart from the all you can eat - which, respectfully looked more suited to seniors, the sports bar had the most atmosphere with tradies calling in for a drink post work.. we waited forever trying to get a menu, the QR code menu wasn’t showing the ā€œchefs specialsā€ mentioned on the sign - when asking the staff.. one girl said it was sold out, the other said it was definitely available. The food was below average, actually felt sick a few hours later. This place had such potential.. needs a revamp or new owners or someone who gives a crap. Save your money and go up the road to The Glen shopping centre and eat at a food court is my advice.
