Many thanks and lots of gratitude to the KFC Glen Waverley Central crew - especially crew member Max (wearing his super awesome trademark pink cap) and Deputy Manager Joanne Nazareno - for, as they always do, providing me with both the absolute best food and the absolute best service many hours ago on Tuesday 18/02/2025!
To Max, Joanne and the KFC Glen Waverley Central crew, I'm so sorry to only type up and post this 100% positive Google review now, after collecting my order, had to rush off to see Sonic The Hedgehog 3 at Century City Walk Village Cinemas, and then did shopping before coming home. I'm also so sorry to all of them for both having to delete my previous 100% positive Google review to make way for this new one and for how long it's been since my last visit to KFC Glen Waverley Central prior to today, I always want to visit as often as possible as does Peter my friend/godfather.
The lighting fast speed in which my aforementioned order was prepared is tremendously appreciate by me, especially because of - purely my fault - how last minute my arrival at Glen Waverley was to watch my afternoon session on Sonic The Hedgehog 3, so thanks to Max, Joanne and the KFC Glen Waverley Central crew, I made it to the start of the trailers that preceded the movie itself.
Inside the cinema where I was watching Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - either KFC's Popcorn Chicken alone or KFC's chips alone were absolutely delicious by themselves - I mixed the Maxi Popcorn Chicken and Large Chips that made up my aforementioned order together in the bag that came in and it made for the most amazing meal sized snack I enjoyed so much, further increasing my enjoyment of watching Sonic The Hedgehog 3, the absolute best pf the three Sonic The Hedgehog movies that I very highly recommend.
Speaking of which, as always, I very highly recommend KFC Glen Waverley Central to absolutely everyone, because of both the absolutely stellar dedicated crew - including Max and Joanne - and the absolutely stellar food, my aforementioned Maxi Popcorn Chicken and Large Chips included! Max warmly welcome me ans asked how I was before giving me my aforementioned order and Joanne went out of her way to say hi to me and let me know that today was actually her last day working at KFC Glen Waverley Central before she moves to work for a different KFC restaurant.
It is indeed an absolutely amazing coincidence that the day I chose to both visit KFC Glen Waverley Central and see Sonic The Hedgehog 3 turned out to be Deputy Manager Joanne Nazareno's last day working there. I told Joanne both Peter and I thank her so much always for absolutely everything and that we are so grateful to her and that we will miss her, and I told her I will tell Peter she says hi to him.
Words cannot sum up how happy and relieved I am that I happened to pick the right day to visit KFC Glen Waverley Central and as a result be able to say goodbye to Joanne in person and let Peter know about it. Many thanks and lots of gratitude to Joanne for telling me. And many thanks and lots of gratitude to Joanne on behalf of Peter, myself and all KFC Glen Waverley Central customers for always working so hard to deliver absolutely delicious and perfectly made KFC food - especially their Original Recipe - in the fastest time possible, all while being so friendly, enthusiastic and cheerful, taking the time to chat with us.
I think I speak for all KFC Glen Waverley Central customer - especially Peter and myself - when I say, we are sad today was your last day there and we all will miss you so much. We will always remember you and we all wish you good luck and all the very best in this upcoming new chapter of your KFC career. Joanne, your position as Deputy Manager at KFC Glen Waverley Central is extremely deserved. And whichever new KFC restaurant you will be working at will be extremely lucky to have you. Good luck and all the very best, no doubt in next to no time they will make you a Restaurant General Manager (your brother Daniel also is an equally awesome KFC Glen Waverley Central...

I had been dreaming about devouring those legendary KFC Devil Chicken Wings all week, and my anticipation was sky-high. But alas, the reality was a far cry from the culinary heaven I was hoping for. Had they changed the recipe?
The wings, usually a symphony of spices and flavours, were a bland disappointment. They neither tantalised my tastebuds with a touch of spiciness nor delivered the savoury punch I craved. Even the crispy crumbed batter, normally a testament to KFC’s prowess, tasted oddly floury and unappealing.
Adding insult to injury, the state of the restrooms was abysmal. My wife and I discovered that both the male and female washroom floors were wet — hardly the clean and welcoming environment one would expect.
The only redeeming factor was the prompt and friendly service, but even this could not save the day. In the end, I must give this KFC outlet a fair ranking, with the hope that they can regain their former glory soon.

Just have a urge to have KFC Wicked Wings. It is not on Special, and costs $7 more.
The crispy and spicy chicken wings are ideal to eat with rice. _^

I ordered via the KFC App for the Wicked Wings to be picked up on both occasions.
On 23rd I ordered using a mobile phone, and I did not encounter much problem. However, on 24th I wasted more than 30 minutes to order using the App on my Samsung tablet. The App kept rejecting the security code, and I finally gave up and use my Facebook account to log in.
The store has dine-in, pick-up and drive through service. I opted to pick-up, and I had to confirm my already paid order upon arrival, because I had not mobile data on both my devices.
The store was very clean on both occasions. The floor was marked for social distancing. Sanitisers were available at the counter.
Two young people were at the counter serving the customers, one was at the front looking after the dine-in and the online orders, while the other one served the drive-through customers.
I thoroughly enjoyed the hot and spicy Wicked Wings. The pieces were big, and great value for money. The outside of the Wings was crispy, and the inside juicy and tender.
The young staff were efficient...
Read moreEasily the best KFC in Victoria, I’ve been to almost every KFC in VIC metro and no other kfc even comes close to this one.
The service is 10/10, my boys and I have been to this joint over 100 times and they’ve never gotten an order wrong over the drive thru. Always friendly staff at both windows
The speed of the service is super quick, genuinely blows me away how consistent they are, I keep asking my best mate (who’s an area manager at GYG) how on earth do they keep this level of greatness up?
The food is 15/10, the chips always salted to perfection and crunchy, the burger buns cooked well, the chicken is juicy and crunchy every single time and far out, the wicked wings, don’t even get me started, it’s not normal what this place does.
How do you guys continue to keep delivering, idk who your area manager is or what rituals you have in place but it’s unfair to all KFC what you do. Irrespective of new staff members we recognise, this kfc still delivers A+ standards.
Can we get this area manager or store manager to take their talents to all the KFC in Victoria? Is there a way we can do that? If every KFC was like this, Australia would be better off.
Only gripe I Have, one little gripe is, we used to get super charge sauce for free before we drive off, now we don’t, which is sad. Would love for the staff to just chuck a few at us, for old times sake.
Much love.
That area manager or whoever is responsible for this KFC, take a bow, you are a King or Queen amongst...
