Tyrepower Mornington — Local services in Melbourne

10 stars.- Google gives only 5 but want to add extra 5 to Mornington Tyrepower for their help and great service and community spirit. Their car safety check and wonderful customer service; literally saved me & my car. They prevented a dangerous fire situation. And I will never have my car battery installed anywhere else from now on. I called in to get a tyre etc. check, before going to NSW. Mentioned this noise heard in engine very recently. Though the tyrepower guys were close to closing time, the workshop guy took a look. He was horrified & told me the noise was the "new battery" fitted by Vic Battery Co - a week earlier. He showed me that the new battery was the wrong size & even worse it was back to front! And it was too small and had not been clamped in! I saw the clamp was just hanging loose not bolted down. The noise I heard was the "new" battery moving around in the engine bay near wiring! This was very dangerous. It could have caused a spark and set the car on fire. I definitely would have had electrical troubles if I had just gone off to NSW. The guys at Mornington Tyrepower were so kind. They anchored the battery properly; clamped it and tested and made it safe. Calmed me down... as I take elderly people in my car, & mums with bubs, which made it a horrifying discovery, re safety issues. They even tried to talk to the Vic Battery Company despatcher - because it was clear their installer didn't know what he was doing and this puts the average person in danger. Mornington Tyrepower didn't let me go until everything was safe and secured properly even though by then it was closing time...and they did all this, free of charge. Haven't got enough words, to thank you, guys... ❤️ How dangerous the electrical issue could have been, was confirmed when I took my car to the dealership that services it. They told me I was very very lucky to have had that check at Mornington...

I had moved to Mornington from Gippsland, and had no idea where to go when l needed new tyres. TyrePower was recommended to me by a friend who described them as “ quick, friendly service, honest in that they won’t try to sell you anything you don’t need, and a lovely waiting area, with cold drinks, tea, coffee, magazines and papers to enjoy while waiting for your car to be ready”. Added to that, l was told that the prices were reasonable. I went to TyrePower and found that this description was 100% accurate, and l can fully endorse it. I thought l might need 4 new tyres, but after they were inspected l was told that the tyres just needed rotating, and that l and only needed two. Excellent, friendly, professional and reliable service. I know where to go for tyres...

Took my dad’s car in to be checked today, whilst he is unable to drive anymore due to a terminal illness he was concerned about a tyre pressure warning light. A team member took the car straight in, assessed it and brought it straight back out to me in a matter of minutes with the problem fixed. After hearing dad’s story the team member waved me on without any charge. I jumped in the car and shed a tear, because honestly, genuine kindness from a stranger like that just does not come around that often anymore. To that team member- you have no idea how much that gesture meant to me. Thankyou. What an awesome team, and an awesome business, efficient, professional and above all else just down to earth kind people. Highly recommend and will only ever head here...
