I fear this will be a lengthy review!
First of all — the shop! When we first arrived it was very unassuming. The shopfront looks like a little haunted cottage. You enter, and it’s a luxurious lounge waiting area. You move further in, and you’re greeted with NOSTALGIA in the form of a Blockbuster DVD store. Then you turn around, and the whole area becomes cavernous - stocked and decorated from floor to roof with wigs, candles, props and Peaky Blinders inspired fits! It becomes a labyrinth, and you are literally greeted with a Labyrinth movie corner, a princess and villains utopia of costumes, a backlot walkthrough of horror paraphernalia, Harry Potter extravaganza, Beetlejuice goodies, and Star Wars accoutrements. This sounds like a ChatGPT review, but no, I’m just that in love with the place. I feel like you should be charged just to walk through the front doors! This is an EXPERIENCE.
Secondly - my partner and I had booked a movie makeover and photography package as Freddy Kreuger and Pennywise, adding special fx makeup and bald cap application. Guys, the day was worth every last penny and then some. The detail that goes into the makeup and costumes and the photoshoot. Louise and Alicia - two amazing sisters bringing magic to life - are 100% dedicated to their art and this emporium. They put love into everything they do and make the day so so special. I only ask for a coffee shop inside so I can hang...
Read moreWe went to the Little Shop of Horrors on Halloween Eve 2021 after ringing twice. On the first call, I was told they were set to shut at 10:00pm, and that if the store was quiet, they would be shutting early. The call was rushed along when I asked about range, and I was promptly told to come in and see for myself and the call ended. After ringing back, I finally got a chance to speak and tell the worker that I lived far from their shop and therefore wouldn't arrive until around 8:15pm. The employee then assured me that the store would be open to at least 8:30pm.
After we managed to arrive early, around 7:45pm, we were curtly greeted and told to be quick as they were "shutting soon". We had a look around, all the while more customers were arriving. The staff still were unenthusiastic and complained overtly and repeatedly to one another about their fatigue and how they couldn't wait to close the shop. While looking at costumes, we were told multiple times not to touch the outfits, despite the racks being packed closely, and some costumes being crowded between others. The costume hire price was definitely higher than it was lower for most outfits. Consistently, the prices labelled were high enough that they seemed more suited to be an outright purchase price. The unobliging customer service made us feel unwelcome and rushed. Our overall experience was disappointing...

Our daughters had the most wonderful time getting dressed up as Princess Aurora at The Little Shop of Horrors! From the moment we stepped into the charming princess-themed room, they were in awe. The attention to detail was incredible - the lights, the curtains, the princess throne, and the sparkling accessories. It truly felt like stepping into a fairy tale.
Owners Louise and Alicia were so patient and professional throughout the entire photo shoot with our girls (1yo and 3yo). Chloe, who was dressed up as adult Aurora was so kind, gentle, engaged and caring for the girls! She has a talent in both portraying the character and also creating magical and memorable interactions with her “mini princesses”
The whole team helped them feel like real princesses, guiding them through their “princess poses” in their Aurora dresses. The girls had an absolute blast twirling and posing - they haven't stopped talking about it since!
The whole experience was so special and memorable. Our daughter (3yo) keeps begging to go back and play dress up again. We can't thank Louise/Alicia (owners) and Chloe enough for making this a magical day we'll never forget. If you're looking for an enchanting princess experience, party or photo session, we highly recommend The Little Shop of Horrors. It's a magical place for...
