Mornington Beach House — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’d call this a traditional cafe takeaway place which mainly services tradies and walk ins from the nearby businesses. It’s a pies, sandwiches and cakes place but what they do, they do well, I think. My chicken and coleslaw sandwich looked basic and it wasn’t well presented but it was absolutely delicious with a generous amount of fresh tasty filling. Service was friendly here. It’s a serious stretch attaching beach to the name of this cafe as it is several kilometres from the sea. But who cares because I really enjoyed my sanga! PS - the most surprising thing I found here were bamboo straws. They are absolute beauties - well done to the people here for going for them...

Lovely little, Want for a better word, greasy spoon Cafe. They sell all the usual suspects dim sims, potato cakes, fish, hamburgers and lots more, all freshly made, plus they make fresh sandwiches, foccacia's, rolls, etc. Having said that I thoroughly enjoyed a freshly made chicken schnitzel, lettuce, cheese and mayonnaise roll. It was just yum and very filling. I also had a latte and it was yum too. Two men were running it today, l don't know if that is always, but they were polite, helpful...

Dropped my car for a service and the dealer recommended I go here while I waited. Ordered a schnitzel roll and a coffee and it’s awesome. Thick, proper chicken schnitzel, nice fresh salad and roll, decent coffee and the guys who run the place couldn’t have been more friendly. The schnitzel and roll are so big I can’t finish it, but will be taking it home for lunch....
