Any market day is a good day. And this #farmersmarket in Williamstown was a highlight. Part of the Regional Farmers Market, it’s a popular calendar event with locals and those from afar. I arrived at 11am and the place was busy despite the rain that had passed through. Set in a Max Robinson Reserve close to the main shopping area, this market is clearly popular with many walking from their homes as well as others driving from surrounding suburbs. Time to bring out the cane baskets, the calico bags and bike panniers to carry the goodies. The first thing that struck me - dogs! πŸ• So many beloved furry friends accompanying their owners. I counted over 35 different dogs at one stage. All on a leash of course. So what’s on offer? Plenty of variety in wares: Plants πŸͺ΄ Cactus 🌡 Flowers πŸ’ Baskets 🧺 Beer 🍺 Wine 🍷 Mushrooms πŸ„β€πŸŸ« Vegetables 🌽 πŸ₯’ πŸ† Fruit πŸ‡ πŸ‹β€πŸŸ© 🍈 Bread πŸ₯– 🍞 Pasta 🍝 Cookies πŸͺ Soap 🧼 Candles πŸ•―οΈ Cheese πŸ§€ Spuds πŸ₯” Dog treats 🦴

Want something to eat? You are spoilt for choice. Poffertjes, Momos, Donuts, Juice, Coffee, Italian food, Dutch food, Gozleme, Burek, Swedish bakery food … and more. A shelter was set up with seats and a lovely musician played live music that didn’t encroach on me and in fact, was quite melodic as I strolled around soaking it all in. I imagine this is a seasonal market for stall holders too. In the warmer months with a larger array of produce, it no doubted would change. This market is held on the 2nd Sunday each month throughout the year. Open 9am to 2pm.

Entry is by donation so bring some coins.

Note: good parking. Kid friendly. Dog friendly. Couldn’t see any toilets at the market but there are come nearby.

Happened to stumble upon this monthly farmers market on my way back from the Newport Train Museum. Lots of niche food products to sample and for sale. As they are niche they're not a bargain but well worth investing in if the tastes appeal. I went towards the end of the market and scored two punnets of lovely fresh strawberries for half price.

I was impressed by the range of food vans offering a multitude of different offerings, Dutch Croquettes, Gozleme, Dutch Poffertjes, Gourmet pies etc. Definitely a better place to grab a snack then battling the traffic and fighting for parking in the Maritime District.

Parking here is on the street but it appears visitors regularly come a go which allows for a good turnaround of parking...

Accidental find while visiting the William’s town beach. It’s a monthly market, so we were pretty lucky to find it. Not sure of the opening hours but we passed it again around 3pm and it was being wrapped up. The market Has a varied selection of stalls to stroll through and sample. Collection included but not limited to, raw honey, gin, wine, flowers, bakery items, fruit and vegetables, pet food, candles, hot sauce to name a few. Plenty of parking around the grounds. There was live music playing and some seating for one to have a short break while enjoying the food. Friendly stall keepers make the experience more pleasant. We purchased few bottles from the Larrikin and some raw honey from the 3 bees! Highly...
