Belmont fish and chips — Local services in Newcastle-Maitland

I don't often leave lower rated reviews, but I was incredibly disappointed with the food I ordered from Belmont Fish & Chips. The Works Burger was possibly the worst takeaway burger I've ever had - as soon as I unwrapped it, I knew I was in trouble. It was the most sad, depressing burger I have ever laid eyes upon since I exploded from my mother's womb. The bun was ridiculously thin and broke apart after my first bite. The meat patty was also super thin and not meaty at all. The burger was very light on salad/fillings, as if they had put the absolute bare minimum on. There was no beetroot, and I am almost certain there was no cheese either. The lettuce also looked like it had one foot in the grave. I also ordered some chips - they were a little bit better than the burger, but still fairly insipid and dull, like they had been cooked in old oil. On the plus side, food was hot, service...

Absolutely amazing food I’ve ever ate! Best quality food to serve it. Burger and chip with calamari ring is very delicious. A best fish and chips in the world. As almost as same to United Kingdom’s fish and chips! I’d order again as much as I would love to pop in and order it, whenever I liked to! Chips were cooked beautifully along with the fisherman’s basket was absolutely superb the seafood sticks were cooked lovely along with the prawn cutlets and I guarantee that anything you get here will be cooked to your liking it tasted and looked delicious and I will be ordering here again 5/5 honestly they are the nicest people that served us and not long of a wait at all and with all that they cook it in front of you it was all amazing and cooked to perfection.
