We arrived at 5:15 PM for dinner for three adults and were seated at a table with a sign stating: “THIS TABLE IS AVAILABLE HOWEVER IT HAS BEEN RESERVED FOR Name: Mud***, Time: 7, Pax: 10.” At 6:05 PM, while we were more than halfway through our meal, the tall, blonde waitress abruptly interrupted us, demanding that we move because the reserved party had arrived early. When we asked for assistance in finding another table, she returned at 6:07 PM, saying she had spoken with the manager—who said we could finish our meal but had to leave immediately afterward, which was already our intention. We wrapped up our dinner and left by 6:20 PM, a full 40 minutes before the reserved time. A simple, customer-friendly solution would have been to offer the two early arrivals a complimentary drink at the bar while they waited for their actual reservation time. Instead, we were abruptly interrupted mid-meal, told to move, then told we could stay but had to leave immediately after finishing—all without a single apology. It made for an uncomfortable and disappointing dining experience. The food was excellent—hats off to the chef—but the lack of basic courtesy and customer service ruined the evening, especially after spending over $120 on dinner and more on drinks. Management seriously needs to train staff on how to handle situations like this properly.

Stayed in Room 15 for one night only, the air-conditioning woke us up about 1 am, blowing hot air. Plus, the remote was prehistoric & we didn't know how to change any of the settings, so had to turn it off & open all the windows for fresh air 😟 The toilet & bathroom area is very pokey. While sitting on the toilet, the hand basin is in ur face & restrictive. Also, the shower head sprayed in multiple directions, even out of the cubicle on the floor. Everywhere except where the water was supposed to spray. The water was very hot, but felt like needles digging into the skin 😬 Staff were very helpful, friendly & accommodating, because I booked a room online that didnt have adequate beds for us, but the guy was happy to cancel that booking & check us into another bigger room, at no extra drama. I felt the age & quality of the amenities let the place down overall.

Absolute bloody nightmare - family room situated right above the pub’s dance floor. Doof doof and patrons yelling till 2am (Friday night). We did our best by reading all the reviews of this place before booking the place, focussing on noise levels, understanding it is a pub. It appears the overwhelming positive reviews were for rooms situated towards the back of the pub, where the noise is probably better isolated. The rooms are quite well renovated, but not much bloody use if your family is unable to sleep through the noise till 2am. Yep - buyer beware. Just our luck, drawing the short straw for arguably the worst room in the house. Feeling sore and sorry plonking $200+ for this night when we could have pushed on driving and be home snug in our own beds in Sydney …

Pretty bloody disappointed. Went down for a family dinner. First off tried calling to book couldn’t get through. Booked online, never went through. We understand that they had an outage, ok suppose that can’t be helped. Then we ordered dinner around 6:35pm. Asked for potato skins (to come out with normal meals as being eaten as a main meal) was told no problem, it came out 15 minutes later. Mean while 3 chicken schnitzel meals and one serve of lamb cutlets. And before you ask, yes trivia was on but there was only about 30 people in total, and about 15 of them ordered AFTER us. They were then served well and truely before us. We then had to ask the waiter what was going on as we ordered before these people. Took her around 10 minutes to come back out to tell us they were coming up now. We waited another 10 minutes from there. The schnitzel I ordered I asked for vegetables as the side. I got 3 pieces of carrot. 3 halves of zucchini, 1 tiny piece of broccoli and 1 tiny piece of cauliflower. The lamb cutlets are supposed to come with mash and broccoli. No broccoli and a tiny bit of mash. We waited over 1 hour to be given the food. Probably 1.5 in total. Was really unhappy with this experience. The foot wasn’t that great especially for the wait. Totally...

Recently came back to the Belmont Hotel after their renovation. Overall, our family had mixed reviews. Booking was easy to make, new interior looks immaculate - my family overall enjoyed the outdoor playground that is air conditioned. When it came to our food - slight disappointment as i tried to order a beef ragout that could not be customised as it was pre-made in bulk. Did not want to be a pain customer so i ordered a classic schnitzel. Mash potato was bland for my liking and slightly cold on collection even though i collected meal promptly. One of my family members ordered the seafood marinara - which they enjoyed. Kids eat free this time we visited and children got a reasonable portion of their faves. Price spent overall was $60, drinks not included. Decided to save the night with dessert however one of my family members expressed that the Tiramisu was misleading, as it was served as a sponge cake type dessert. In the entirety, there were things we really enjoyed and things we did not. I would return for a second go however other family members have they expressed...
