The worst cafe experience I've ever had. Visited while in the area with 4 friends - one coffee was forgotten & we had to ask for it twice, came out burnt when it finally arrived. All the meals were delivered at different times - mine was not enjoyable & was missing a hash brown, 2 other meals came out almost an hour after ordering & both were missing ingredients ordered. A smoothie was ordered but we were told 20 minutes later that they didn't have the ingredients for it. When being honest with one of the staff about our disappointment, we were told they were down 2 staff & that it couldn't be helped. Whilst I can understand issues arising due to reduced staffing; the sheer amount of things that went wrong during our visit, the lack of communication & sincere remorse was appalling. If down 2 staff & struggling to keep up with orders in a timely manner, you should be upfront with customers to begin with rather than give disingenuous apologies...

Called up initially asking if they were still open and they said yes, they still did food. Went for breakfast and the burger was delicious! However the breakfast burger was okay but not enough ingredients in it. 50% of it looked like it was just sauce and bread which was disappointing. The macha drink was hardly macha and it tasted like it was 99% milk, didn’t even taste the macha. The staff did mention that the usual chef was not in and therefore apologised. 1 beef burger, 1 breakfast burger (no sides for both) and two drinks altogether came up to just under $60. I personally don’t think it was worth it. The young chick that was serving us was there physically but clearly was tapped out. She blamed it on the fact that she was tired and had a long day. Not her fault but they may need more staff. Overall I don’t think I’d go here again due to our experience and reading some of the previous discourteous responses from the owner, I...

Dropped in on a Sunday to catch up with a friend whilst passing through the area.

It was pretty busy and the staff were lovely when ordering. My wife and I ordered my meal and our friend ordered directly after us on the same table number.

Coffees came out quick and were very good.

Our food came out separate to our friends food and we thought it wouldn't be far behind. We began eating our meals and finished them.

Food kept coming out to other tables however not ours. After waiting 15 minutes after finishing our meals I went to the counter to ask where the food was where we were informed they would bring it out shortly.

About 2 minutes later the 2 other meals came out to our table and staff apologied.

All in all the food was great and the staff were friendly. Just very disappointed as you would expect all meals to come out together and not 15 minutes apart.

Would go back, just...

Pure chance to pull up outside this Cafe. Owner Ron was a delightful and interesting character who blends his own samples of herbal teas to try from the Daintree rainforest. And puts money back into the rainforest because he cares about the environment. Brews his own coffee which was delicious. Our food was delicious although I thought $20 for avocado on toast with 1 poached egg was a little steep. A lovely layout of tables and chairs and comfy sofa chairs with a backdrop of brightly wall painted coloured murals, depicting cassowaries and waterfalls from Cape Trib. Tables and chairs outside as well. Ron was happy explaining his tea varieties and is very proud of his business. It would appear rightly so that he has repeat business from locals.

We walked in on a quiet Saturday afternoon and probably should have walked out when we found the menu less than exciting and tables feeling rather sticky. The high chair was also very clean. The food was not good. Big breakfast - sausage tasted undercooked, onions not cooked thoroughly, and hash brown tasted of poor quality. Eggs Benedict - was forgotten and cooked rushed after we checked with the kitchen twice, in addition that the cafe was not even busy . For $23 it was definitely not worth it, as the "salad" was sad and not fresh, and the portion was small (photo uploaded). Pancakes tasted ok. I can see why this cafe was very quiet. This is probably one of the most disappointing brunches we have had in a very long time.
