Majestic Oasis Apartments — Local services in Port Augusta

We paid for the spa suite and the spa didn’t work properly. The maintenance guy (nice guy) fixed it on the second day, the staff at the front desk were rude and aggravating. We drove four hours out of town for a getaway, we regret it.

The spa didn’t work properly so we went to the pool instead, which would have been nice but it hadn’t been advertised that the pool doesn’t get cleaned on the weekends (it was Sunday) so the pool had a thick layer of branches and dirt at the bottom of the pool which led us to a dead end.

We attempted to ignore all of the issues and still have a good time, but we couldn’t even go out on our porch to relax and enjoy the view considering the amount of screaming/fighting coming from the drunk locals who spend every day at the park right between Majestic Oasis and the water (which I understand wouldn’t be advertised but at the same time, give people a warning, it’s almost like the staff enjoyed doing it - it was right in front of our room!

The only two staff members that made us feel welcome in your Apartments were the maintenance guy and one female staff member who was cleaning the rooms.

Upon checking out they seemed just as happy to get rid of us as we seemed to bury them in our memory slots.

Won’t be coming back. Won’t have anything nice to say about the franchise considering the property manager was arrogant and rude. The only people who get points are the maintenance guy and the member cleaning rooms, everyone should swap...

If you need 5 stars, but a can only budget for an exceptional 3, or very acceptable 4, this is for you!

Lovely self-serve apartments with all the basics for cooking (microwave, full-sized fridge electric frypan, BBQ on-site, necessary utensils); AND washing machine & dryer. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable & spacious (queen) room(s), with lots of thoughtful, & much appreciated touches (eg. generous coffee/tea, milk UHT packets, bottled water, toiletries (and moisturiser, ladies), tissues, microwave, toaster glassware & mugs etc., laundry & dish detergents, etc. etc. etc. Think of something you might need, & it's probably already here. Comfy bed with extra pillows. Excellent shower! ("Ahhhhh...!") Reception was very helpful, efficient & friendly, & there is room-service on offer. Plus the location! Within easy walk of shopping precinct; right on the bay/estuary. And whisper-quiet.

Staff are super friendly and happy to help but the rooms were so dated.

Rooms- Couches were scratchy and hard, paint was peeling from walls and you can see many hurriedly patchy repairs. My room even had a few lifted tiles. Rooms were clean, bed is soft and warm.

The view is lovely from my balcony, although who ever stayed above me last night has dropped a decent amount of rubbish on the ground.

Tech - my god I’m glad I brought a laptop, the TV they provided is older than I am. It wouldn’t even accept a small HD for media playback.

Sincerely hope they spend a little bit and in a few weeks some of these things are fixed.

A decent couch and a new TV would go along way to pumping up the review.
