Disappointing Experience at Makara Kebab & Grill.

I recently visited Makara Kebab & Grill in Stanhope Gardens and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite three staff members working, I had to endure a lengthy wait of nearly 25 minutes for my food, as they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves.

The lack of customer service was evident, as no one acknowledged or apologized for the delay. To make matters worse, I noticed a young staff member with shoes on, stepping onto the grill to clean while my chips were still being cooked. This lack of hygiene and disregard for food safety was concerning.

I strongly urge the management to review the footage between 6:45-7:10pm on Sunday, June 11, 2023, in order to address these issues. Such instances of unprofessionalism and negligence may have severe consequences for the business's reputation and success.

If Makara Kebab & Grill wishes to thrive, it is imperative that they prioritize efficient service, customer satisfaction, and proper food handling practices. Otherwise, the future of the establishment may be at risk.

These people have no regard for Vegetarians, i dont expect special treatment, just dont lie about how you serve your food. Just went to buy a Cheese and Spinach gozleme, i specifically told the guy that i did not want my food mixed with meat. After paying, the lady there, first takes the gozleme, places it on a beef gozleme, then places it directly on a toaster oven that looks like its never been washed, then she put it on a dirty breadboard and cuts it with a knife that clearly had meat on it. When i asked why, the lady got angry and said this is too hard, take your money back. After giving me my money back, she then starts accusing me of not telling them anything beforehand and how much shes going to lose with that one gozleme. Awful experience. Wont be going back...

First time to buy chicken kebab from this shop. Their kebab tastes really good even without my usual bbq and chili sauce (that I forgot to order or I was not asked).

Their food display looks all fresh and arranged enticingly.

Only observation I can say is the food handling. I saw one of the guys arranging the gozleme with his bare hand then moved to and touched the cash register with his bare hands. The he took one gozleme to serve an order using a thong. Should they be wearing handgloves (of one hand at least) when touching the food? And all of the one preparing and serving aren't wearing handgloves. To the owner: please...
