Authentic Indian food. Probably one of the best in our area given the level of competition around. Absolutely loved each and every item. Quality and quantity both are awesome. Would definitely order again. Ordered the achari kebabs, dhai Puri, chole, butter chicken hot, garlic naans. Wiped it all out. Thank you for such wonderful food on a rainy day. Made our lockdown week exciting !!
Edit - this restaurant fell from a 5 star to a 1 star for me. The manager is obnoxiously rude!!! Mate this is Sydney and we are in 2022, you cannot talk to other humans in an entitled tone, not the country for it. Its evident alot of the reviews are people complaining about this manager and it's evident in his responses that he needs to tame his attitude. Now the phone conversation that changed my review and probably never order from here again. I ordered chili cheese cubes, got paneer instead. I called and asked if there was an error and the pleasant lady on the other end said cheese in the menu implies paneer. Then why isn't palak paneer called palak cheese, she transferred me to the manager. After a long hold he came on the phone with guns blazing. He said this is a very common dish and consists paneer and next time read the description, it says cottage cheese which if you don't know is paneer. Thank you for the education. I said oh sorry I must have no read it right. I am virgo. I read everything right but also quick to apologize. Checked the menu after hanging up, it does not mention cottage cheese. Taken a screenshot and attached. He also said many other things among the few statements above which I won't bother mentioning as it's not related. Anyway gotta start looking for another restaurant, a new one in Blacktown is quite decent, gulmohar tree. Hope I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDelicious north-indian food for dine-in or take away with some room for improvement. We haven't had a chance to eat at this place but have done lot of take aways.
Quite recently we have had Veg Manchuria, Soya Chap, Chilli Mushroom in addition to Veg noodles. We have thoroughly enjoyed the food barring Veg Manchuria. They were burnt in taste and it was seond time we have had this experience. Last time it was Gobi Manchuria. Additionally both times, we didn't find those garnishings of spring onions or capsicums etc. It was as if the manchuria was taken as is.
Coming to the curries and breads, nothing to complain about. We have tried both veg and non-veg and both were absolutely delicious. When it comes to special parathas, I feel they can improve the stuffing and make the bread bit thinner. The last time I ordered Gobi and Aloo. Both were really large with uneven stuffing and felt as if I was eating something dense and heavy. It would help to have smaller pieces albeit maybe 2.
Overall, an excellent restaurant for your money's worth. Not to forget they do have sweet station serving mouth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy friends and I attended this restaurant for dinner this week. From the moment we sat down it was clear that the running of the establishment was unorganised and the staff were not 100% across what dishes were available for order. My friends and I ordered a selection of dishes from the menu ( I was sharing two dishes with a friend of mine, while everyone else ordered individual dishes). Most of the dishes (mainly Thali) came promptly to the table within 15 minutes of ordering, whereas we had to wait close to 40 mins for our meal to come out. The garlic naan was nice, but unfortunately the gulab jamun dessert was cold and stodgy. The curry we ordered (Tikka Masala) was watery and there were also complaints at the table of about two of the Thali vegetable curries being to salty and on the verge of being inedible. Unfortunately to top it off, two of my friends and I got food poisoning from the food and hence why the low rating. The food, and overall execution of the service especially during peak dining times needs to be improved from front of house to the plate...
