Rockdale Social Club — Local services in Sydney

Remember great old fashioned club grub? The "Bizzo's" is a bit old fashioned, and so is the menu, but when the food is delicious, fresh, perfectly cooked and very reasonably priced, all that other stuff is forgiven. I had a T-bone with vegies and mash for 13 bucks and the portion sizes were very generous. My friend who had beef ribs (brontosaurus ribs!) and I left very full and very happy, easily getting back to the car under our 1 hour parking limit. We will be back when we're in the neighbourhood. We had dinner here on Friday night in the upstairs restaurant and were quite impressed. Its basic good pub food. The menu is extensive and very reasonably priced. The chicken schnitzels, rump steaks and T-bone steaks were delicious. The portion size of the servings were huge. Great value for money. Quick customer service. In the upstairs bar you can only buy bottled drinks but its easy enough to go downstairs to purchase mixers or schooners etc. We were a large table of 12 and everyone really enjoyed...

Great place to have a drink. Has smoker's balcony (bonus). Bar staff excellent and very friendly - so far ! Upstairs restaurant has huge menu with (also) huge meals at very reasonable prices. We had T-Bone and battered fish. Both very good indeed and just $30 for both. I do wish, however, that places like this could offer vegetables plus sauce or gravy instead of chips and a salad bowl with everything.
