First and last time ordering from Vic’s Meat.
Made an online order for 21/12 pick-up at Pyrmont. I went there at 11am and was told that my order will only be ready from 12pm onwards. I left and returned at 3.30pm and was told that my order was not there and it never got delivered to that branch. I was then assured that the order will be ready for collection the next day 22/12. I left empty handed after 2 trips.
The next day (22/12), I called to follow-up only to know that they have arranged for a delivery for (23/12). I told them that that will not do as I need the meats for my dinner party with friends on the very day. I will have no use for the meat on 23/12. They also added that they have 800 over orders today and are very busy. I was then told the only way for me to receive my order, was to come and pick it up myself at Mascot but it can only be from 3pm onwards.
I managed to pick up my order in the end. This whole ordeal was very unpleasant and stressful.
I am going to share this experience with anyone who asks me about ordering from Vic’s meat. I was not compensated in any way for the inconvenience this has caused. The only explanation was they are very busy and have to attend to many orders. I guess my order was not important enough.
It was also disappointing to see that the meat I have picked up was brown after 30 mins from pick-up time.
A shoutout to Rob (Pyrmont Branch) who tried to help me out when I was there....

Last 3 orders have been disgraceful. I won't expand on the delivery.. I wfh on delivery days.. but they won't even knock or ring the bell, the leave it on the street outside my apartment block.. the kicker.. sometimes this is at wrong building. I don't understand how my 250 dollar order doesn't warrant a door knock or call.
I always get the value pack (which is a stretch to call it that). It's $220 and the last 3 orders I've had to throw out the meat patties on day 1.. they stink, look pale and closely don't sell. The sirloin are great, but the scotch fillets have been worse than aldis which cost half. The worst part is I've had to return parts twice, and on the first day of receipt of the meat, the steaks smell rancid.
This isn't some mean post where I'm upset and making up stories. I have been a Vic's advocate and am so far off them now I've placed my final order. The worst part is how slimey their steaks have gotten.
Do better and stop...
