After reading all these fabulous reviews I thought yes we must try this place. I had been to the one at Enfield and it was particularly good so we rocked up to Flower Power at 9:50 yesterday morning and made our way to the Hidden Garden cafe, As we had limited time, we were dropping someone off at the airport, we informed the person serving us that we needed to be out by 10.45 they assured us this was possible- so three out of the four dishes we ordered required Avocado. Little did we know these small but delicious fruits was going to be our downfall. After waiting 40 minutes we had drunk our coffees. One of our meals appeared the eggs Benedict which had no avocado. Was quickly consumed and was delicious I believe- us three well.. we continued to wait for our meals so at 10:30. I went inside to find out what the holdup was only to be told we’re waiting on our avocado delivery ??? Huh?! seriously guys why don’t you tell us that when we ordered 40 minutes ago? Food eventually arrived. It was unrecognisable compared to what we thought we had ordered. Micro herbs, ancient dried out lemon wedges and strawberries have no place on scrambled eggs. Neither does using some kind of reduced balsamic glaze zooshed on the plate assist with avocado just give me what I’ve ordered. My bacon was burnt cold and slimy full of fat. Obviously they had cooked everything and then put things on hold waiting for the avocado. I have no doubt that the food is good on an average day when they have all the bits they require to make the menu, however, the service and the way they went about selectively telling us that they didn’t have ingredients especially when we had told them we had a time constraint was unacceptable. All round pretty poor especially as the whole exercise costs over $120 not really that great oh and I had told them it was my birthday because it was and guess what? Didn’t even offer me a free birthday coffee to makeup for all this- Yeah, not a great start to the day. I very much doubt I will go there again despite loving the venue and the surrounds in Flower Power. Service was awful! Let the hidden garden...
Read moreThe name truly says it all. Hidden Garden Cafe is much more than just a place to grab coffee; it's a tranquil escape tucked away from the city's hustle. Stepping into the cafe felt like finding a secret, sun-dappled courtyard—lush with ferns, comfortable seating, and soft ambient music creating a truly magical atmosphere. It's the perfect spot for quiet reading or an intimate conversation.
Beyond the breathtaking setting, the food and drink offerings are exceptional. I highly recommend their Signature Lavender Latte, which is perfectly balanced and aromatic. For brunch, the Ricotta Hotcakes were a fluffy revelation—easily the best I've had in years. The service was also warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being intrusive.
If you’re looking for high-quality food, excellent coffee, and an unparalleled ambiance, make the effort to find this gem. Hidden Garden Cafe is, without a doubt, my new favorite spot. Five out...
Read moreThe Hidden Garden Cafe is one of those spots you stumble across and instantly want to keep to yourself. It surrounded by greenery and blooming colour. There’s plenty of shaded seating, and the whole place feels calm and unhurried perfect for a slow morning coffee.
Speaking of coffee, they get it just right here. Smooth, rich, and clearly made by people who care about the details. The food matches the quality fresh, generous, and surprisingly affordable. The bacon and egg roll deal during the week is a solid option if you’re in a rush, but the big breakfast is the real winner. It’s hearty, well-cooked, and leaves you feeling like you’ve actually had breakfast.
Service is friendly and relaxed, which suits the setting perfectly. Between the good coffee, good food, and garden surroundings, it’s the kind of cafe you’ll end up visiting more often than...
