Skippers Fish Shop — Local services in Tasmania

I’m not getting the rave reviews. The prices are insane, but I figured if it’s a massive serve and exceptional quality then I could live with the price. Unfortunately, the serving size is a joke. Captains table, 2 pieces of fish, 2 each of prawns, scallops and calamari. The fish were not much bigger than fish bites and not sure what fish they used but the taste and texture were not pleasant. The other stuff was just acceptable. The only reason for 2 stars is the chowder was awesome. Again a very small serve for the price. Went in and bought 12 calamari rings and 2 flathead or flake I can't remember.

Got to our fishing spot realised old 12 calamari wings were completely under cooked, talk them back they cooked us fresh and offered to make us a free serving of our other fish.

Fast forward 3 hours and I am now curled up on my couch feeling absolutely sick as and my partner has been throwing up to try and make himself better.

The shop front is clean, the menu boards are clear. I knew what I wanted and saw it on the menu right away. I was greeted with the friendliest smile from the girl at the counter and she was so helpful and professional at her job. The wait time was very short and the food really wowed me! I had flake and chips and both were cooked to absolute perfection and piping hot! There were plenty of condiments that I could help myself to and my meal was great value for money.
