Absolutely rude staff and wasting of time here. We wait for more than 50 mins for our food. And we wanna chase up how long further we need to wait for. The old woman with grey hair just keep telling us as soon as the buzzer rings up. Excuse me? they don’t even apologize for the long waiting time. We ordered seafood chowder and they served us a bowel of chowder without any seafood but only bacon and very watery soup. We pay the same price yesterday at different restaurants and order seafood chowder with plenty seafood and very creamy soup. Wouldn’t recommend any tourists to come over here. Disappointed. BTW, they don’t even have table water.

Very happy to give a good review and recommendation for The Bays Kitchen. I visited twice today, once for a coffee during a bike ride and the next for a well deserved treat. The service was excellent with lovely staff that were very pleasant and efficient. A nice strong coffee was the perfect temperature. My second visit was for my naughty side as I had just ridden to Anson Bay and back. I had the vegetable pastie, so great and they had HP sauce, perfect. Finally was a Tiramisu ice cream, loved it, good single portion and only $5.50. Keep up the good work team and keep on looking after your customers. 👍🏼

This is a great little place to enjoy deli style sandwiches, toasties, salads and much more. Their desserts look so delectable too. The food has a homely feel and taste, flavoursome too. Prices are very reasonable and this is the perfect stopover after enjoying a day on the Bay of Fires or finishing up from a swim. I personally had the chicken, bacon and avocado toastie with a mango smoothie. Perfect combo, very filling. Smoothie was well made, not too sweet The staff are very friendly and service is lightning fast. Highly recommended if in the area.

I am so very surprised that I am putting a review like this about what had been one of mine and my husbands favorite eateries when visiting St Helens. We have always frequented this cafe when on holidays 2 or 3 times a year and would go in at least once a day. Unfortunately today when I ordered my husband the pulled pork bun the waitress came and told me he could not have it as I had requested it without the coleslaw as he does not like coleslaw. I didn't understand why this would be difficult as the bun is toasted! I told my husband and he then chose the fish wrap and again I was told it wasnt available as he didnt want the tartare sauce as he doesnt like sauces. The owners daughter then said okay she would make without so I questioned why he couldn't have his 1st choice and was told they only had on 1 cook and then some story about it being dry without the coleslaw. I told her not to worry as we would not be eating at the cafe. It was incredibly disappointing after all the times we had eaten there. So we will no longer be eating at the cafe. It seems a shame that the owners forget that during the year when it is not school holidays that it is customers like my husband and myself that bring...

It’s a shame after reading the friendly service others received as that was far from what I received today! We paid to have lunch and ask the simple question of do you have a glass of ice for my drink and was told yes but it will cost you. Sorry I was offended by after spending what we had ordered for lunch that they would then further need to charge me for a simple glass of frozen water (ice)!!??? After making the decision to go without as I couldn’t justify paying for ice the staff then whilst cleaning tables pulled me up to say well it was only $56 you only spent (correcting me that I thought I had paid $70) which oh sorry I still thought a glass of ice could have been offered as I had bought the drink from them in the first place. So with now my hackles up I asked for a refund of our food and left as we had only just ordered. I have traveled not only Australia but internationally also and HAVE NEVER come across a charge for a simple glass of ice and made to feel like I had done something wrong. Spent our money at Banjoes Bakery with absolutely lovely staff and had a beautiful lunch at a quarter of the price. So thanks for...

Service was fantastic until the old woman with grey hair comes out. Rude and so stingy, things like no table water, gets defensive after asking if your meal is on the way as you have been waiting for 45 minutes for some chips, even if you have an EMPTY banjos bag you will be asked to leave even after giving them your money for food and then waiting 45 minuites for a single meal in an empty shop, would hate to see how long the wait is when they are busy. Everything we’ve got from Bays Kitchen is the most fatty food we’ve ever had, I love fatty food but this wayyy too much. was oily, too salty and inedible. If you like being treated with disrespect and If you want heart disease, come to Bays Kitchen🤮 honestly think most of these reviews have to be fake as I’ve never spoke to a local happy with the food they get here @...
