Ski Pro Austria 3 — Local services in Mayrhofen

I have 2 daughters with very different needs already able to ski. One is autistic and dyspraxic, the other keen to progress beyond an already good lovely, starting to learn some freestyle and to take on some of the very challenging blacks we aren't able to take her on. We contacted a number of ski schools and this felt best able to meet our requirements for 2 private sessions. We wanted more than the 2hrs most offer. They perfectly matched our two with instructors suited to the girls very different needs. Both finished there lessons one absolutely buzzing the other clearly "content" (she doesn't do buzzing LOL). We could see the improvements in my autistic / dyspraxic childs skiing the following day which is a huge achievement as moving out of the comfort zone to the next level is a HUGE challenge but without that next steps she can't move comfortably onto more challenging runs she would like to master.

VERY FAST AND GREAT SNOWBOARD SERVICE *

My friend and I arrived in Mayrhofen late on Monday evening, expecting for the locals to be begging us to wax and sharpen our fifteen year old boards. They were not. No locals found.

Knowing we only had three days of boarding ahead, and with our rusted edges threatening to kill us if we looked at them wrong, we headed out the following morning at first light.

Herr Hanzmann was on the list, but we came across this place right before and were quickly introduced to the best ‘hands, man.’ Oof.

The employee took our boards and treated them like the ladies they have never been. Half an hour later we both had cuts on our palms while riding the penkenbahn — not because the boards weren’t deburred, but because we were carrying them like ‘die Burks’.

Ok. Maybe one percent of people reading this will enjoy that.

Five stars for a great board...

We rented our ski gear from here and booked lessons with one of their instructors. Shop staff were really nice, helpful and recommended the right kit for us. The instructor was Rumen and he was just fabulous! Both me &my husband were total beginners and never skied, on top I have a balance issue due to a brain surgery a few years ago. Well... it wasn't easy but, thanks to Rumen we started with the basics, slowly, on kids'slopes and we did it! He didn't let me give up, encouraged me all along and with lots of patience and guidance we did it! I managed to ski thanks to him and his expertise! I tried in the past but without success and without being able to hold my balance on the skis! Thank you Rumen and Ski Pro Austria. We will be back! If you want to learn to ski they are great and cannot recommend Rumen and the team @ Ski Pro Austria enough! Thank you...
