My friend and I did the Druk Path Trek- it was our first visit to Bhutan and the whole experience was amazing. Dechen was very responsive and helpful in customising our travel plan. The company handled our visa application, SDF and itinery which was very convenient.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our tour guide Ugyen who took us on cultural sightseeing which allowed us to acclimatise before starting the trek from Paro to Thimpu.
The trekking team also included the chef, trekking assistant and horseman who worked tirelessly to make the journey safe and seamless. Food was amazing at every meal with safe (boiled) drinking water always provided. It was also reassuring to know that the welfare of horses was prioritised with their food expenses fully covered - something few providers do. Our guide was highly experienced and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, always bringing joy to the journey.
The trek itself was rewarding. Glad we were able to explore Bhutan in this way which was a great balance of nature and cultural experiences.
The hotels arranged as part of the package were very pleasant and clean. The meals throughout the trip were nourishing and wholesome.
We are grateful to the team for making this such a smooth and enjoyable adventure. We're already looking forward to coming back to do the Jomolhari Trek next - fully trusting this team to take care of us again. Special thanks to Ugyen for making our trip...
Read moreI highly recommend this trekking company and the entire trekking crew, especially the guide and chef! Everything was so wonderfully organised, with all our queries answered promptly by Dechen prior to the trip. My niece and I had our every need seen to during our 5-day Dagala Trek, from getting my wet hiking boots dried to ointment used for insect bites! Our guide, Ugyen, even went the extra mile of lending us his sunglasses and arm sleeves when we couldn't manage to buy appropriate ones. Ugyen is an exceptional guide - he spoke about the Bhutanese way of life with such passion and depth that we can get a grasp of the country's values and beliefs easily. In fact, the entire trekking crew were so helpful, diligent and humble, exuding the endearing Bhutanese culture. A special mention about the chef, Leki senior, who managed to rustle up such scrumptious yet healthful meals out of simple ingredients, mere pot & pan and a makeshift stove. His eggs, whether scrambled or omelette, were extremely yummy (he cooked extra eggs for us as my niece doesn't eat much meat). We were amazed by the cake he conjured up on the last evening! Overall an unforgettable experience in the mountains. Thank you, Trekking In Bhutan, for making...
Read moreWe had a splendid time with Trekking in Bhutan on the Dagala Thousand Lakes Trek. From the beginning, Dechen was very patient and responsive to our many questions and helped us feel prepared for the trek. The trek itself was full of beautiful sights and also very well organised, with the trek crew ever ready to offer help and ensure we felt as comfortable as we could while in the mountains. Ugyen Tshering, our guide, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind as well and we really enjoyed our time with him. Would recommend to anyone looking to experience...
