A restaurant with authentic Bhutanese dishes. Worth a visit. Mostly crowded during lunch time, because it's very popular and foods are tasty. The staff is very courteous and we're sweet enough to explain almost every dish to us. It's Bhutanese food only. We ordered a shakam (beef) paa and a datshi the first day. Beef was dried, so very hard; but it was tasty. Second time it was chicken paa and another datshi. Everytime we came out very happy. The food is excellent. The do serve complimentary buttermilk with every meal. The suja is also very good here. The food is inexpensive and the facilities are good for the price. Definitely visit this place for a meal on your trip to Thimphu.

One of the hotels in Thimphu to taste a wide range of authentic Bhutanese cuisine. It's located below Royal Textile Academy (RTA) and beside a Desuung Services Centre Choego. It's as popular among local office goers as it's among tourists. They serve popular Bhutanese dishes like Ema Datshi, pork ribs paa etc at reasonable prices. However, they don't serve juices. The interior decor is nice and provides a good ambiance. However, to avoid crowds, don't go during meal times of weekdays.

In country like bhutan where majority of population enjoys meat, surprisingly I enjoyed their veg dishes and drinks more than non veg ones. Maybe because the meats are cured and are bit hard. Spinach dashi, Ema dashi was to die for. I had ordered pork and chicken, which seemed ok for me but the veg or national dishes of Bhutan is territorial. Will definitely order veg dishes again

This is a review from an indian tourist point of view. We went there after reading great reviews on Google to enjoy traditional Bhutanese food. We ordered Emma datshi, pork ribs and brown rice. We were served complementary buttermilk along with our food. The size of the portions of the food were relatively smaller than we encountered in other restaurants in bhutan. The service was quite fast and the hotel was quite hygienic but not anything special. In my opinion I found the restaurant over rated as I had better datshi in other restaurants in paro. Overall I would say it was a disappointing experience for me. However I would still encourage other tourists to visit this place as many other people have given good reviews and maybe I landed there...

From the outside it looks like a small place but it's actually 2 storey. I found the place really cool. The construction seems quite old and simple. It has a very homely vibe. The staff is very courteous and we're sweet enough to explain almost every dish to us. It's Bhutanese food only. We ordered a paa and a datshi the first day, then the ribs and a different datshi the second time and the Maroo and another datshi the third time. Everytime we came out very happy. The food is excellent. The do serve complimentary buttermilk with every meal. The suja is also very good here. The food is inexpensive and the facilities are good for the price.
