Hotel Central — Hotel in Veliko Tarnovo

Communication with. the hotel before arrival was good. We arrived by bus and headed up the hill with luggage on a perfectly doable trek, if it were not for the heat.||||Location was very good, close to several fast food joints within walking distance on one side, and up the hill to the old town on the other side. Most places in old town did not stay open till late.||||The two ladies we saw at Reception were friendly and helpful, I was able to get some printing done which was great.||||Here again, there was no lift, so up the stairs we trekked with our bags.||||The room looked a bit dated but was quite functional. ||Bathroom was tight for space and the shower was open, hence everything within range, like the toilet, got wet. Toiletries supplied. Shower was strong and plenty of hot water.||||The only thing I missed having was tea/coffee and a kettle in the room.||||Breakfast was included in the room rate which made the one night stay good value. Breakfast consisted of continental plus one hot item made to order.||||A taxi ride back to the South Bus Station cost 3.60 lev. ||||Overall, a nice...

The rooms are clean, staff is nice, but we had issue with the towels. One of the towels in the bath was with marks and in the middle it had 2 inch hole, it was really, really disgusting. I was thinking its just one case so didnt go to speak with them on the reception. Most interesting when i walked out of my room i passed another room and the cleaner took the towels out and I saw another towel with even bigger hole. Than I realised they don't mind using these towels, instead of throwing them and replace them with new ones. They just use this disgusting towels over and over I was in shok. Based on that issue will not go there again! Speccially in this town Veliko Turnovo you should be careful DONT LEAVE MONEY OR EXPENSIVE THINGS in the room when you are not there. Very nice hotel, we love it. The big room and bathroom were very clean, modern and quiet. Comfortable and warm bed. Beautiful view to the city and plenty of natural light from the big windows they have. Great WiFi connection on the 3rd floor. The girls from reception were very kind to us and we thank them again with this occasion.
