EDIT - Derek, the shop owner reached out to me and took great care of me after what happened. I met up with him at the shop on Feb 15, and he explained the situation to me. He was kind enough to provide me with a couple carts and batteries on the house. Thanks for the goodies Derek! I will definitely be back thanks to your great service. Original Review. - It's unfortunate I have to leave this review because these guys have usually been great to work with. They have an amazing variety and sell all kinds of accessories and normally I’m dealing with great customer service. I went in on the evening of Feb 10th, 2025 and bought a cart from Xplor – Rainbow Razz flavour. Upon opening the package, the oil in the cart was already oxidized. When I pulled, it tasted like burnt metal. I had someone else give it a try and they thought the exact same. On Feb 11th, 2025 around 12:30pm I came back to Northern Lights to see if they could exchange it. The worker I spoke with had a very poor demeanor and attitude. I told him the cart tastes like its burnt, to the point where its unusable. It tastes like burnt metal. I also told him I was using this on my vape on the lowest setting so this was not the issue. The worker then said to me that as long as it functions, he can’t do anything about just because I don’t like the flavour. The thing is I’ve had these before and they are definitely not meant to taste burnt, they have a very fruity flavour when functioning properly. He even said he’s used them before and he knows they don’t taste fruity; they taste more like cannabis. I’m not sure if he was just lying to me or didn’t want to go through the hassle of doing an exchange because this cart is definitely faulty. He then just said to contact the manufacturer if I don’t like the flavour. Again….its not that I don’t like the flavour, the cart is clearly faulty and producing a metallic burnt taste which NOT normal. He was talking to me in the most condescending way possible. I also asked him to reprint the receipt from the night prior because I’m sure the manufacturer will ask for one when I email them about the issue. The worker then said he can’t do that because” the batch is sent off and closed at midnight” …. what??? I’ve never heard of such a ridiculous thing; you don’t have any records of your sales?? When I was walking out the door he also said in the rudest way “that’s why you always keep your receipt” I was clearly extremely frustrated with the situation. Was he trying to upset me further? In addition to this, the only reason I didn’t have a receipt is because when I purchased the cart the night prior, that worker who was someone else didn’t offer me a receipt so I had just left without even thinking about it. It is the responsibility of the worker to offer the receipt, not mine. The worker I dealt with on Feb 11, 2025 - I didn’t catch his name but he’s bald with glasses with some facial hair. This is no way to treat your loyal customers. I used to shop here fairly consistently which is unfortunate because I’d rather support the smaller local businesses plus you guys have awesome variety but this interaction left a very poor taste in my mouth. Also – last week I had Spirit Leaf pull a receipt for me from May of 2024 because of a warranty issue I was dealing with. If they can do that and you guys can’t pull a receipt from the day prior something is seriously wrong with your POS software.

Hands down the best cannabis dispensary I’ve been to. Sophisticated - they’ve embraced the digital age & have you place your orders on user-friendly tablets. The wooden interior creates a warm, comfortable environment. I LOVE the northern lights art on the wall, grabbed my attention immediately. ❤️Great products, including the beautiful locally-made bongs. Great people there to help you with any questions that may come up. Plenty of cannabis options in stock. Will definitely be recommending to loved ones. Best of luck on your official opening coming up on Saturday!

What can I say about this dispensary. The second you walk inside you are transported to another dimension of amazing service, great prices and probably the biggest selection of flower, concentrates, vapes and glass products I've ever seen in our region. And I saved the best part for last.... Betty Anne behind the counter is the kindest and most educated budtender I've come across. I live in another city but I will be making my way back this way again for sure!

Northern lights is bar none the best cannabis shop. When it went legal I was super apprehensive about quality and price. I found the other shops to lack quality and descent pricing, and was pretty sure I was just going to stick with my regular way of picking up. Then Northern Lights opened. They have quality and pricing. I have found the staff there knowledgeable, friendly, and genuine. I have also noticed that the quality of the store has forced the other shops in the Leduc Beaumont area to up there game, ensure they have product and pricing. Basically, as far as I can tell the top quality of Northern Lights has created a better market for the consumers in the Leduc Beaumont area, and has helped to stoke confidence in the legalization process, which is good for everyone involved in the industry. I have been coming here for a long time. Everybody on the staff have been amazing since the start. The customer service is exceptional. They have more knowledge and product information then you could likely ever need. The selection is outstanding and the atmosphere is very comfortable. You don’t feel like you’re walking into a doctor’s office when you come here, there’s low light and mellow tones throughout the entire store. You’re not just reading off a menu here, the staff will show you the product and give you all sorts of information on it.

While everybody is great, I have to say that Jordan has been phenomenal and is the epitome of what good customer service should be. He takes his job very seriously and the extra effort he puts into learning all the products is impressive and noticeable.
